List of Steven Grundfast Md's Reviews
I saw Dr Grunfast after being discharged from 4 months in the hospital due to Covid. He listened to my lungs then said get a sleep test. Did that and returned to him to be told I have sleep apnea and he prescribed a CPAP machine with a follow up a month later. I went back a month later and he commented that I was not keeping the mask on properly or long enough and I need to have it on. I tried to explain that I have PTSD from being vented and I wake up in sweat from it and he needs to understand this… he said this to me - “IF YOU DON’T USE IT OR KEEP THE MASK ON YOUR GONNA DIE! I’TS EITHER WEAR IT PROPERLY OR I’M GONNA HAVE TO BUT THE TRACH BACK IN!” Very terrible bedside manner! Would NEVER recommend this guy (cannot call him a dr) to anyone!
My father’s nurses did more for him than this apathetic joke of a pulmonologist. Thank God for them.. they remarked in shock to know my father wasn’t given standard issued devices for his diagnosis; even showed him how to use everything. ‘Dr’ Gundfast has awful bedside manner. If you don’t want to do your job or if you don’t care, move on. You’re handling people’s lives.
Couldn’t be better, he’s an awesome doctor. My health with asthma and other condition have improved that I feel well.
I have been with Dr. Grundfast for about 15 years. I went to him when I had sarcoidosis of my lungs. ( I was first diagnosed in Prysbeterian Hospital). I could no longer go to the city and so I was referred to Dr. GRUNDFAST. He was very thorough checking all my symptoms. I have since developed severe asthma. I go to him, well I try, every 6 months. So far I am okay taking my meds and keeping my distance from everyone.
He's an excellent doctor. He was referred to me by other doctors who think very highly of him. I have many friends who also see him. He and his staff are very nice and took time to answer all of my questions.
Dr. Grundfast is very knowledgeable and knows what he's talking about. When I was in the hospital, all of the staff respects him and speak highly of him.
He is without a doubt the most non empathic physician I have ever allowed to treat me and the word treat is dubious
I had a horrible experience with this doctor. I came with breathing issues and called ahead of time and was told to come in. The doctor saw me and said there is nothing he can do to collect all my medical records and come back. When I came back (after I had them sent ) he said the same thing. When asked if he can then just do his own exam and run his own test he said “I mean I could... I mean what do you expect me to do” - he is a pulmonologist!! He has horrible bedside manner and did nothing to help me.. I even showed record of oxygen levels dropping but his response was “what would you like me to do about it”... I drove almost an hour every time to get to him to sit there for 5 min for this response ! Doctor grundfast needs to get more training... I do not recommend this doctor...
Dr Grundfast is the best doctor I have ever meet, he saved my life buy being vigilant with a suspicious nodule on my lungs. He is a warm and caring person ,with a great sense of humor, everything a great doctor should be.
I've been to other pulmonologists but find Dr. Grundfast to be the best. He's very knowledgable, patient, and has a great sense of humor, which makes office visits and hospital stays tolerable. I put my faith in his decisions, which always turn out to be accurate. Would, and have, recommended him to anyone.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
