List of Tabbsum Malik Md's Reviews
Dr. Malik is only motivated by payments and insurance billing. After already having a check up just one month ago, I have now found out that her office is withholding my insulin refill prescription until I schedule another appointment. I am now without a prescription that I need to live and will not hear back on whether or not she will write me a refill until she’s “ready”.
She’s a terrible endocrinologist. She’s only motivated by insurance billing and payments. Her office will withhold refills on life-sustaining prescriptions like insulin to force you to schedule extra follow up appointments with her.
I've been seeing her for years. Others I've seen in the past can't even compare.
DR. TABBSUM MALIK IS A MAGNIFICENT, COMPASSIONATE ENDOCRINOLOGIST. I HAVE BEEN UNDER HER CARE MANY YEARS. SHE IS VERY THOROUGH OVERSEEING YOUR HEALTH HISTORY & ADVISES SPECIFIC LABWORK & TESTING! SHE PERSONALLY CALLS YOU IF ANY CONCERNS DEVELOP TO REGULATE THYROID MEDICATION. AN OFFICE VISIT IS A PLEASURE AS SHE LISTENS ATTENTIVELY & CLARIFIES YOUR QUESTIONS. ONE NEVER FEELS RUSHED THROUGH AN EXAM. INDEED, I AM VERY FORTUNATE & HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER WHO HAS FINE INSIGHT & KNOWLEDGE!!
I have nothing but the high most respect for Dr Malik. For 20+ years, while my mother lived in Middletown, NY. She treated my mother who had her thyroids and para thyroids removed in 1961. Dr Malik was the first doctor who comprehended mom's special needs for the lack of her parathyroid glans. My mother suffered for many years while in the care of many different doctors who only concentrated on her thyroids issues. Furthermore, Dr Malik has been treating me for my diabetes since 1997. I thank God and the good doctor for keeping me in good health. I have not suffered any of the typical complications associated with diabetes. Dr. Malik always greeds me with a smile, she is very professional and always listens to my concerns, is always willing to work with me about choice of medicine concerns their side effects and inconveniences. She always takes her time to explain everything to me. I actively, very highly recommend her.
Dr. Malik is an arrogant physician. I'm been suffering with hypothyroid symptoms for too long, hoping that Dr. Malik could be the doctor who would investigate and treat my symptoms. Not only did she insult my initiative to find help, she dismissed the thyroid sonogram that revealed an enlarged thyroid....she referred to that test to be "normal." CAUTION: she doesn't take your symptoms into account despite some of my blood work showing signs of hypothyroidism and the sonogram blatant results of a goiter!!!!
I have thyroid problem, diabetes, mitral valve prolapse and Atrial Fib/with flutter. I also have weight problem as well as bad legs problems. I've been going to her for care for over 9 yrs. I have been progressively getting worse health wise. If I question the medications being prescribed for me she seem to get annoyed. With the diabetes, which I was diagnosed in 2005, came high blood pressure-hand in hand. I DO NOT fair well with medications. She insisted that I continue to take losartan despite the fact that I told her I was feeling weakness in my right arm to the point I could not lift it up at all. As soon as I stopped taking it, I was able to lift it up all the way. I would see her every 3 mths, recently she scheduled my appointment in 6 mths. I have diabetes and standard practice is you should see your doctor every 3 mths and have blood work done to see your A1 C level. The first time I went to her was for my Thyroid, then later I was diagnosed with diabetes. A couple of years back she ordered blood test, but never ordered the usual blood test for thyroid. Upon my visit I ask her about the thyroid and she states that no blood test was ordered. There are many other things that bother me, it would be too many to list. I am not one to take the doctor's opinion at face value, I question and read alot especially since it's easy to find info on the web.I'm looking for another endocrinologist, needless to say.
Dr. Malik is an excellent, caring physician. I have always found her to be spot on to my needs. The staff however is another story, they are the rudest, most unprofessional individuals I have every had to deal with in my life. It is unfortunate that they are such a poor representation for Dr. Malik.
Dr. Malik let me down. She insisted on treating me according to the "normal" range on the test results, not how I felt. When I was having additional trouble and mentioned the words "like a hot flash" in reference to a waking temperature spike, she pegged me as going through menapause, and FIRED me as her patient when I would not gracefully accept her answer and tried to get further medication and/or tests. BOOO!
VERY RUDE OFFICE STAFF BEEN GOING TO DR, MALIK FOR 12 PLUS YEARS NEW OFFICE STAFF NOT AT ALL FRIENDLY VERY RUDE

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
