MIchelle Yao's Online Review Report Card

Worst experience ever with any physician I've ever known. My mom saw Dr. Michelle Yao for an eye procedure, and she gave her no verbal directions for aftercare. Instead, she handed her some sheets of paper not even related to her procedure. Mom had some complications a few days later, and we called Dr. Yao 4 or 5 times ove the course of a week, and neither she nor her office ever returned our calls. The final attempt at calling I used the emergency option to press 1, and the best the staff could do was keep me on hold 15 minutes then asked me for a good return call number. I never received a call back, therefore I was forced to take mom to urgent care, who recommended an emergency visit to an ophthalmologist THAT night. All because Dr. Yao would not return my call even on an emergency basis.I blame the staff and management of OCLI, in addition to Dr. Yao, for their lack of care, empathy, compassion, concern and downright inefficiency. Clearly, OCLI is a business model that focuses solely on the bottom line and how many patients they can book for procedures in their eye mill.I canceled our follow up appointment as well as a future surgical procedure. This was a miserable experience that caused us undue stress, anxiety and major inconvenience for mom who is 88 years old.

Nice doctor but had to wait hours to be seen. Too many emergencies and those who had appts. had to wait many hours. Not fair to patients who made appt. weeks ago. Was told to come back to handle issue. REALLY!

My wife Barbara and I have been Dr. Yao's patient since she was at ACPNY. She is very competative and skilled We followed her to OCLI when she left. Traveling to Mineola is about 1 hour trip each way but having Dr. Yao as our doctor makes the trip worthwhile. Dr. Yao just completed successful laser eye surgery on Barbara's eyes. The best Eye Docs on Long Island

Saw her March 2019...no issues. I felt she was very thorough and detailed in her findings. I had been referred to her by an America's Best doctor; whom had made me somewhat nervous about his findings but she stated all was well. The assistant staff could have been a little more professional. Front desk staff was spectacular!!!

Dr. Yao is excellent and so is the staff that does the testing

Had to get my vision test for my drivers license, and didn't have appointment and they took me within a half hour, Thanks to all and Dr. Yao
