Best in her field. Simply amazing surgeon.

Fantastic kind and one of a kind

My Breast Cancer was in 1997 - All the recommendations were to go to this fantastic doctor, Dr Maurer. I never felt afraid or worried, she gave me that comfort and reassurance that I needed that it was going to be okay. It’s 22years later & I see her every year for a check up. I learned that self- exam is so very important for early detection. I recommend her to everyone!! ????

My grandmother has been coming to Dr. Maurer for 20 years. Although Dr. Maurer is a great doctor, my own personal experience with one of the receptionist was completely disgraceful. After being referred by my OBGYN to be looked at by Dr. Maurer, the office was only able to schedule me an appointment a month later. Four hours before my appointment I got a phone call saying they didn’t have a referral and that she will cancel my appointment. I showed up at my appointment that I said I would pay for out of pocket, only to have this woman call my mother behind the desk, hand her the phone and demand her to call my doctor for the referral, while she claimed she had work to do. She also proceeded to tell another patient she’s been “dealing with” me all day. I was never rude once, so I’m not sure what she meant by that. Horrible experience. Go elsewhere.

Dr. Virginia Maurer is the best breast surgeon in the New York area. She explains everything to you in a way you can understand. She knows your medical history before entering the room. She also is extremely thorough and you never have to wait more than 15 minutes or so for your appointment time. Her wonderful bedside manner makes you feel at ease that everything is going to be okay. She held my hand through a double mastectomy and my results are fantastic. I cannot say enough about her. as a person, a diagnostician and a breast surgeon.

The BEST. I WOULDNT SEE ANYONE ELSE. I have known Dr Maurer for many years. She is the very best at what she does. Caring and compassionate.

DR Maurer spends time does not make you feel rushed. She is pro active many many years prior to breast MRI, being popular she referred me, friends would say you sure you dont mean sonogram?. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a great breast specialist.

Dr. Maurer is the real deal: competent, compassionate, greets you with a smile and is truly passionate about her calling. She runs a foundation dedicated to informing young women about preventative tests etc.
