We saw Dr. Diane Savitsky in pediatric emergency. She was so unprofessional and had a very nasty attitude. She was too busy socializing With the staff and never even bother to check in with us, she sent the intern to communicate with us. I really think Winthrop should reevaluate their doctors, I will never go to the emergency room ever again. This was the worst experience I ever had in a hospital coming. She truly should not be in that department if she feels that way about people.
This place is the WORST, most unprofessional place I have ever taken my son and I will NEVER go there again! They leave you waiting for HOURS past your appointment time and then when they finally do call your name and bring you to the back room, they lie and say the doctor will be right with you, and leave you waiting for a minimum of one MORE HOUR! Never again!
We have been here for 2 pediatric gastro visits for our 4-year old and 1 pediatric pulmonologist visit for our 23-month old daughter. Each time we waited over an hour (the latest time was over 90 minutes) to see a doctor who spent about 10 minutes with us. They have the nerve to have a cancellation policy that requires a $50 payment if you cancel within 24 hours, however they have no respect for their patients’ time. Not to mention that it’s extremely hard to entertain a 23-month old for that long. We will never return!
The initial experience was pleasant until I questioned a bill I received some months later. The receptionist was rude, hung up the phone on me and refused to answer my calls after that. I was told they accepted my insurance, but when I questioned the bill, they stated they never told me that. They claimed that genetic counseling is generally not covered even though I was informed that the testing may not be covered and I would be called ahead if this was the case. The genetic testing was covered but the consultation was not, just the opposite of what I was told. I am still fighting this bill and have yet to get resolution. Worst service I have ever experienced and I have two insurances!
First, full disclosure, this review is 18 years overdue. I'm not sure who is there now or how the care is now but when my daughter was born, Dr. Bonnie Miller examined my newborn and, as I had not chosen a pediatrician, told me she would love to have the job. I accepted and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made for my child. I loved every dr. on the Winthrop peds team. When I brought my child for a visit, I was treated as a team member in her care. I was not talked down to, I was asked about the things I noticed at home--behavior, diet, ect and my observations about my child were taken into consideration when deciding on any treatment that my child required. That was HUGE. I have not found that level of care anywhere else and I am extremely grateful for the quality of care that Winthrop Peds Assoc. provided.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
