I saw Dr. Stamer today after seeing 2 Orthopedic surgeons at Orthopedic Associates of Dutchess County which were no help at all and were rude, condescending and wouldn't answer any of my questions.DR Stamer on the other hand was just the opposite, He was very polite, professional and answered all my questions and concerns and actually listened to me actively. I would highly recommend DR. Stamer to anyone and every one. He is one in a million and actually cares about his patients.

I should have written this review six months ago, but it would have been the same. I had knee pain for many years and I had tried everything short of surgery. I was told that I would know when the time was right. We had recently moved and knew little about the orthopaedic care in the area. I went to Dr. Stamer after seeing a video about robotic assisted surgery. The doctor listened to and agreed on the need for the surgery. I asked him if he would consider doing both knees at the same time. After listening to my reasons why, telling me all the potential pitfalls and evaluating me he agreed that I would be a candidate. I had the surgery on July 2, 2019 and they had me walking that day. Because of having both knees done I was eligible for in-patient therapy and stayed in the hospital eight days. I started my out patient therapy the day after I got home and they were impressed by my progress in that short time. I did almost three months of therapy and by the time I was finished I was told I was well ahead of the curve and on my way to a full recovery. I attribute that progress and recovery to Dr. Stamer's skill as a surgeon. I would not hesitate to recommend him for your orthopaedic needs and am very greatful that I found him.

I was only able to ask Dr. Stamer two questions before he said “You’re not ready for this” and turned his back and walked away. My first question was: “Do you perform anterior or posterior surgery? The anterior is less invasive, the posterior cuts through muscle and soft tissue. My first question was not given a straight answer. I was given a response suggesting the way he has performed surgery the most frequently is the best and only way for him. After listening to his self focused response, I asked my second question: “Does this mean you only perform posterior surgery?” With assistance, I found a surgeon who performs both surgeries, and who discussed the pros and cons of both procedures focusing on the patient. I have scheduled anterior hip replacement.

Dr. Stamer is amazing. Broke my leg on vacation and came back with an appointment set with another dr. Long story short had a horrible first experience at another office and was recommended to see Stamer. Lucky to have found him! He fit me in that day on his lunch break and fit me into his surgery schedule the next day. He’s quick and to the point but I think that’s what makes him so efficient. He tells you everything you need to know nothing you don’t. After surgery I experienced a lot of pain, I called the office asking what to do and got a call back and hour later from Dr. stamer himself. He actually cares. And shows it. If you want to get fixed go see this guy! And the office staff at care mount was phenomenal. From the first phone call to the X-ray tec all amazing caring human beings. Can’t thank them enough!

Did knee replacement mid Dec. I had very little pain 3 weeks later after home PT. My knee feels great now. Highly recommend him. He is a caring surgeon who listens.

Had three knee surgeries, 2 ACL (both knees) and 1 minuscus. If I could go back in time I would choose Dr. Stamer every time! I had those surgeries when I was 15 (ACL) 17(minuscus) , and 18 (ACL) and I am now 24 and feel like I never even had surgery. AMAZING surgeon and doctor. I would recommend him to anyone.

Horrible!!! Had a 1pm appointment with three other people...did NOT LISTEN cut me off mid sentence every time was given a cortisone shot before I could even think about it...rushed through appointment spent MAYBE 10 min with me and dissapeared..DISGUSTED!!
