Wonderful, kind and very nice dr Ilan DoronHighly recommended
Dr Ilan replaced my rt thumb joint 3 yrs ago. He wanted to do my left 1st as the bone spurs were larger but I wanted the right done since I’m rt handed & afraid if it was bad I wouldn’t come back. It was literally a breeze compared to what everyone said about hand surgery. I’m calling this brilliant surgeon this week since my left hand is so bad I haven’t slept in 3 days. I let this go far too long & it’s causing the middle of the thumb, the joint above, so much pain. I’m still scared but know that I’ve been through this before & because he’s the best I will be in good hands. Pun intended! Dr Ilan has a great bedside manor, made sure I had no pain & a sense of humor as well. Anyone needing a hand surgeon would be lucky to have Dr Ilan!
Great Hand Specialist. I have been to a few and Dr. Ilan is one of the best. He is thorough and can find the issues that other Doctors have missed.
I've been a patient of Dr. Ilan's for over 5 years. During that time he's helped me with several conditions, including problems with my hands and knees. Dr. Ilan explains things very clearly, without speaking down to me or using excessive medical jargon. He always listens to my concerns and my questions, and he doesn't rush to surgery as the primary solution. I highly recommend Dr. Ilan for any orthopedic problems.
Pros: Very knowledgeable and good bedside manner Cons: His office is very disorganized and I had to call 4 times to get my records sent. Secondly, you will wait a long time in the waiting room. If you have time to waste and won't need to transfer your records, I recommend him.
Dr. Ilan has been my orthopedist for many years. He has treated many of my family members and is very knowledgeable. He explains everything carefully and clearly. I had a carpal tunnel surgery done by him and the outcome was far better than several other people I know that had it done by other surgeons. He uses a less invasive method that has a faster recovery time. I highly recommend this doctor.
He's a really good surgeon and a nice person
Dr. Ilan was very supportive and answered my questions. He did a great job on both of my hands (trapezoid joint removal with tendon reconstruction) and one shoulder (rotator cuff repair). I recommend him to others with similar problems. I will see him again when necessary.
Dr. Ilan performed endoscopic carpal tunnel release surgery on both of my wrists: dominant hand in 2/2014 and non-dominant hand in 10/2016. Since the procedures, I've made a full recovery and regained 100% use of both hands. I had minimal post-op pain (2 on a scale of 1 - 10, with 1 being very little pain), and no carpal tunnel pain at all since the procedures. Dr. Ilan is a brilliant surgeon and a kind, caring person. I highly recommend him and his POWR staff.
Saw me on short notice and took care of problem efficiently.
I was referred to Dr Ilan by the general orthopedic who treated me for a broken wrist due to continuing pain and stiffness. Dr Ilan as a total waste of time and my insurance companies money. First he insisted I just needed more physical therapy with a home mechanism I was not properly trained to use. That became too painful to use so he had me wait 6 weeks and then ordered an MRI which was "negative" so he basically told me not to come back..Finally I went to a different ortho who realized that I had torn ligaments Don't be as stupid as me. Go to a different doctor- one who is a better diagnostician
Dr. Ilan saved my career, literally. He is thoughtful, professional, and skilled.
I had carpal tunnel surgery with Dr. Ilan on both hands over a 3 month period. I live in Queens NY and have Fidelis coverage and was shocked at how difficult it was to find a specialist in the area who preformed the procedure endoscopicly. Dr. Ilan was a little out of the way but well worth it. Wonderful guy and he did a great job. I only wish I had it done much sooner in life.
I have Dupytrens Contracture in my left hand which comes back every year or 2 requiring surgery. Dr. Ilan is very knowledgeable regarding this and explains everything to me ahead of time. My procedures all go well and allow me to get back to work and life very quickly with very little down time. There is no other Dr. I would recommend.
I had a concerning growth on my finger. I ignored it for months but was very worried. I finally decided to get it looked. Dr. Ilan diagnosed it as a cyst and drained it for me. It took only a few minutes and I was very relieved that it was nothing serious. Dr. Ilan was very thorough and patient in answering all of my questions and making sure I understood everything.
Very good bedside manners, specially for my 8 yr old daughter!
Despite my pain, it was a great experience to be treated by Dr. Ilan and his staff. Dr. Ilan is approachable, courteous and very easy to engage in conversation. His impeccable credentitials are a critical part of my recovery.
I was referred to Dr. Ilan by my Primary Care Physician, along with a good friend's recommendation. My issue was trigger fingers (thumb and middle finger). Upon meeting with Dr. Ilan, he made me feel at ease. He listened to my concerns and observed carefully. Once he made the diagnosis, he offered possible treatments and explained the pros and cons of each. I was left with the decision on which I felt most comfortable with. I felt that he was thorough and knowledgeable. He did not rush me into a decision. Ultimately, I chose a treatment and am symptom free now. I highly recommend Dr. Ilan.
Saw Dr Ilan listed in New York Magazine Best Doctor List. Went to see him and he didnt disappoint. He was great.
