I had a total knee replacement in August. Dr. Popowitz, Northeast Orthopedics and the team at Good Samaritan Hospital were terrific. I am so happy I didn't wait any longer.

I'm having knee problems, probably due to my age and being overweight. I met with Dr. Popowitz and he spent a lot of time with me. He reviewed x-rays of my knees with me and explained in detail what was going on. My situation is not too serious, but it could worsen if I'm not careful! Very helpful and knowledgable doctor. Highly recommend.

A professionally run office where everyone seems to care. I was seen on time and was diagnosed immediately. I entered the office in incredible pain, thinking I was going to need surgery but Dr. Popowitz treated me and within a few days was much improved, with the need for surgery.

I had a Patella tendon reattachment just a year ago with Dr. Popowitz. Dr. Popowitz was excellent through the entire process. Any questions I had were answered to my satisfaction. I'm a Personal Trainer and avid Cyclist so this was very important to recover as quickly and safely as possible. I highly recommend Dr. Popowitz

I met Dr. Popowitz right before being taken into surgery at Nyack Hospital. He showed me pictures of my xrays on his cell phone and told me what he was going to do to fix my seriously fractured femur. When I saw Dr Popowitz at his office 2weeks later he displayed the new xrays and told us he showed them to his colleagues as this was a teaching moment. My husband and I were very impressed with the pride he had in his work and felt I was in good hands. I returned 2weeks later and Dr Popowitz displayed the latest xrays, said they looked very good & also showed me signs the bone was healing. He was enthusiastic and gave me instructions that stuck to the original time line. I walked into the office last week(10) & he told me I was beyond the Bell Curve. I am extremely fortunate that Dr. Popowitz was the surgeon on call that day. Not another grandma pushing a walker...Not Yet!!

My son (9 years old) had a forearm fracture and Dr Popowitz treated him. I thank my doctor for recommending him. He fixed the hand without a surgery and my son recovered completely within 8 weeks. Dr Popowitz was very caring and an expert in this field.He answered all our questions with patience. He is an awesome doctor and I highly recommend him for any age group.

I ruptured my hamstring and was lucky to get an appointment with Dr. Popowitz the day after I requested it. He immediately recognized my issue and made arrangements for me to have an MRI within an hour. The next week he performed surgery. Throughout my recovery he has answered my questions thoroughly and efficiently. I believe his quick action made my recovery much easier and shorter. I highly recommend Dr. Popowitz.

I've seen Dr. Popowitz twice already, once with a knee problem and again with a shoulder issue. He is very knowledgeable, kind and thorough. Helped me with both problems. Would definitely recommend him.
