Does not care about family concerns. Will not approve FMLA when needed. Will not return MUCH needed return phone calls. My mother is now in the hospital with a broken hip as of this morning 11/09/21 due to not listening to family concerns to prevent issues. If you confide in her on the QT as a concerned son/daughter she repeats it back to the parent promoting even more issues. Completely unethical standards. Had to contact administration who only brushes you off. Please check other reviews! Would DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND!

I never had the chance to meet Dr. Hunsiker as her office staff are some of the most incompetent and unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. I called to make an appointment as a new patient and the woman who answered the phone told me she was new and didn't know how to do that. She took my info and told me she would call me right back. Two weeks later, when I had received no response, I called back. This time I was put into a hold queue. I waited on hold for some time and finally took the option to leave a message. That was 5 days ago and again, I have received no call back. I guess I dodged a bullet on this one! Imagine if I needed something important from them!

Dr Hunsiker is retired military, so it's probably true that she can come off a bit terse, but she's really GOOD. As my doctor, she doesn't owe me any specific tone or attitude... I'm there for her medical expertise, and she is extremely generous with that. I've been overweight all of my life. She answered all of my questions, she listened to me, and she didn't blame every condition I had on my weight, like some practitioners do. That was absolutely invaluable to me. I've moved out of state, and miss her terribly. I wish her ALL the best.

Attempts to change RXs prescribed by other doctors that she “doesn’t like,” regularly calls in the incorrect scripts to the pharmacy, and sometimes doesn’t even call in the script at all. And definitely don’t address birth control with her, because she will make you feel SO ashamed about being sexually active. Even if you’re a 30+ year old adult.

One of the worst doctors I've ever seen. She has absolutely no bedside manner at all. Doesn't care about her patient's at all.

Why anyone would give this brilliant physician one star is beyond me. She’s intelligent, very conscientious and is all business. Besides she’s a very nice person. She’s just the kind of Physician I want. She has always steered me in the right direction. I’d definitely give her 5 stars.

Dr. Celesta Hunsiker is the worst physician I have ever encountered. Cold, uncaring, unempathetic, with the personality and bedside manner of a wet mop. She, also has no idea how to properly diagnose a patient. I honestly don't know how she ever became a physician, or why for that matter. Aside from being completely callous with her patients, her generic response to EVERYTHING is "there's nothing we can do for you." She misdiagnoses her patients constantly, sending them to urgent care the next day. She spends a total of 1 minute in the room with a patient, including patients that she has never met before. Dr. Hunsiker also is NOT knowledgeable on medications. She prescribed my mother a medication for cholesterol, that severely interacted with her blood pressure medicine. When asked if this medication as safe to take, Dr. Hunsiker replied, "yes, take it." Thank goodness our pharmacist gave my mother the CORRECT information, and said this medication was unsafe, and NOT to take it. Furthermore, Dr. Hunsiker gives out medication without looking at the possible side effects toward anything, including if her patient has diabetes. She prescribed prednisone to my mother, without notifying her that the prednisone would indeed increase her blood sugars dramatically. My mother ended up on the phone with an on call doctor that night, who couldn't understand why Dr. Hunsiker didn't explain that this could happen, and give advice on how to adjust her diabetes medication. Dr. Hunsiker also reduces a patients medication without their consent, without seeing them to discuss it, and without even KNOWING THE PATIENT. Why they let her have a license to practice, I'll never know. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR.

I have had Dr. Hunsiker as a primary care physician for the past 12 years. She has worked to help me improve my health.

As a "patient" of Dr. Hunsiker's, I couldn't even tell you what she looked like, she never took the time to see me. But she did take the time to deny me prescriptions I had required since I was 8 years old because she "hadn't seen me". Awful experience. Doesn't take time for her patients and seems to have no empathy. Though how would I really know, considering she never took the time to actually physically see me.
