Can't even get in to see the doctor. I broke my arm yesterday and I need to be seen 😔 I'm in so much pain I have to go back to er was placed on hold All day
Dr P is a calm and capable Dr. Helped me through a broken wrist with no surgery. Thank you!!
Let's begin with the staff, who, at times, are more critical to successful treatment than the actual doctor. They are the front door to important information when you are not face-to-face with your physician. At this office they are atrocious. They answer the phone rudely and leave you on hold for extended periods, sometimes over an hour. They do not follow up on issues they commit to, and, most of all, they don't feel they should do any better. The practice manager is young and intimidated by the staff. As for the doctor, he is "okay." All his training was in the same place, limiting his skill. It seems he has never had any actual training specific to hands. He misdiagnosed my child and told him he required surgery for something that did not. I'm sure he's fine for minor issues...not a true "hand specialist" imo. Our new doctor from John's Hopkins advised going to Binghamton as the closest place for competent orthopedics for anything beyond basic. Hope this helps others.
I really like the care I received from Dr. Patalino. The office staff is rude and you never get call backs when you have to leave a message. I really can't believe they are so short staffed. If that is the case then maybe this review will encourage them to get more help so when you leave a message it does not take over a week and you then have to call again. I left a message last week and still no call back. I left a message today. Lets see what happens. This also happened to me in August so this is not the first time I have had this type of treatment from the staff.
I trust Dr. Patalino’s judgement. He has always done a great job on my hands.
I have been treated by Dr. Patalino for many years for arthritis in my hands. I was prescribed a medication which requires prior authorization from my insurance company. The problem I face is with his staff. The Dr.'s office receives a letter requesting the paperwork to be filed. It took three months last year for his staff to be properly fill out and submit the forms before it could be approved. I have no issue with Dr. Patalino, who is very well versed in his field of practice.
I am being cared for by Dr. Patalino for Arthritis in my hands. He prescribed a compound medication as treatment. My insurance requires a prior authorization to be submitted. Each year, when the paperwork must be resubmitted, it takes a substantial amount of time for his office to respond. I call and leave messages, no response. I go to the office, and am told they are working on it. I call my insurance office, and they haven't received the paperwork. It took three months last year. How do the elderly get proper care if they have no one to do this running around to get things done?
Friendly staff very clean no waiting
I feel that his office staff are rude at times. They are hard to get a hold of, but with my experience of being a patient of Dr. Patalino, he is willing to work with is patients to satisfy their needs to the point where he and they are both content... I feel that he is a nice guy to talk to and explains any procedures that he will perform. He operated on my hand to remove a mass which he did; and it has healed up nicely and Dr. Patalino follows up when you request it. I hear all good about this doctor and I recommend him.
Did an arthroscopy on my wrist and didn’t prescribe any pain medications for after surgery. Office didn’t return calls about it either. They just left me to suffer. I’ve had ten surgeries and never had this happen before.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
