Do not go to Dr Hunt if you have anything more than a cold. He is fundamentally unwilling to consider anything even slightly outside of average and will not even do the tiniest bit of research. Do not expect him to actually read documents sent by specialists. Absolutely horrible and at times detrimental experiences...

HAVE HAD DR HUNT AS MY FAMILY DR FOR ABOUT 6 YEARS, I CAN SAY HE HAS BEEN A VERY GOOD DR. ALWAYS TAKING TIME TO LISTEN TO MY PROBLEMS, ALWAYS GIVING ME THE BEST ADVISE AND NEVER IN A RUSH. HE REALLY SEAMS TO CARE ABOUT ME AND MY HEALTH AND NEVER TAKES SHORT CUTS WITH MY HEALTHCARE . I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE CARE I RECEIVE FROM HIM. HIS STAFF IS ALWAYS CARING A WILLING TO HELP AND VERY POLITE.

I feel like a nuissance everytime I call this office. Some of the staff can be very rude. On the other hand, Dr. Hunt is very personable and caring. He always takes plenty of time to really think about the issue at hand and refer you to any necessary specialists. I can't comment on his expertise because I've either been in for routine checkups or serious problems that require specialists.

Dr. Hunt is not a good doc as everyone thinks. About 7 years ago he misdiagnosed my mother with saying she had bronchitis. He said he called my mother about a month later to let her know it looked like cancer. When asked what number he called, he gave us the wrong phone number. He never sent a letter or tried to get in touch with her thru any other way. We found out by another dr, actually the oncologist at Slocum. Due to his unprofessionalism and unaccuarcy, my mom was diagnosed with lung cancer, 2 mths after his "bronchitis" diagnosis. He is a absolute terrible dr, and any doctor like that should not be practicing medicine. FYI to anyone reading this, if ure thinkin about having him as ure doctor, please think twice, and if you already have him, seriously think about changing, who knows it might happen to you or someone else.
