I've had a prep appointment with Dr. Sandberg and a colonoscopy after he was recommended to me by my generalist. So far, Dr. Sandberg seems to be a very good doctor. But I'm slightly annoyed that his office is forcing me to come in for a third appointment to discuss the results. I think that the pre-procedure appointment and the post-procedure appointment could have easily been both done over the phone. I know that my insurance would cover such a telephone appointment because they always do and I told them that. But they insisted. And each time I have to pay a hefty fee because I have a high-deductable insurance plan. I think they can charge a higher fee in person. But it's inconvenient and it doesn't help the patient--that's me!--and shouldn't that be the top consideration?

I've been a patient of Dr. Alan Sandberg since 2010. I am so grateful that I was referred to him by my cousin. I have also referred others to him. He will spend time with you and explain things. I highly recommend him as a gastroenterologist.

Dr. Sandberg is a highly experienced practitioner who spends a lot of time with patients, answers all questions, and discusses treatment alternatives to ensure patient health and safety.

Dr. Sandberg is very thorough and explains in details about the colonoscopy procedure which was appreciated because it's scary not knowing what to expect.

I like Dr. Sandberg very much. He is very personable. I trust him with the procedure. However, I waited in an overcrowded waiting room for more than an hour before my turn. There were 18 people in 18 seats. I didn’t sit. No patients or there partners were masked.
