List of Allison Angelilli's Reviews
Dr. Angelilli, is a brilliant, competent and knowledgeable physician. She is also caring and compassionate. To have a doctor that you can trust is priceless. I am very blessed to be her patient.
Dr Angelilli is the best. Period
I had my first appointment with Dr. Angelilli, who was referred to me by a colleague of hers. I think that is the highest complement is when another doctor can refer you and sing your praises while doing so. Dr. Angelilli, did not disappoint, she was gentle, patient and kind. I can truely say as a patient that I highly recommend her. Her bedside/chairside manner is exceptional. Bunches of thank Dr. Angelilli
After personally making an appointment 4.5 months ago, and currently with a few days out, I have not gotten a confirmation. Therefore, called myself, put on hold for 30 minutes. Finally got a call desk, and again on hold for another 30 min. while they return with no additional information. There seems to be no appointment scheduled for me; which I can additionally substantiate with my phone records and spouse who was standing next to me when I made this appointment, as the issue I am experiencing can lead to blindness. Even at that, they originally would not fit me in, immediately, so I have been waiting for months, and now left very upset. Is this an example of the seriousness re issue and professionalism by staff you expect to experience?
Thoroughness of the evaluation/examination Knowledge /advice Manner & understanding
I have been a patient of Dr Angelilli for many, many years. However, since she joined OCLI, my experiences have been different degrees of awful. Yesterday’s was by far the worst. After waiting one hour for my appointment which I was on time for, the woman that supposedly checked me in actually had not. No apology. I was eventually brought in for the field of vision and then returned to the waiting area. After another 45 minutes I informed the woman that I would not wait any longer. Two hours was my limit for her incompetence. I later called to speak to Claudine, the Lake Success office manager who did not return my call nor did she e-mail back. No communication at all. I have made a new appointment at the Bethpage office. The soonest I was able to get was May 17th. That means no drops and my pressure will go unchecked and could cause permanent damage to my optic nerve. I was told I had canceled my appointment for that day!!! Not true. I was there. I had one test in two hours. This receptionist should be terminated as should Claudine. Perhaps it is time to leave OCLI as they clearly do not respect me as their patient.
I had an appointment with Dr Angelilli today at 9:45 am. I arrived on time . I approached the desk and gave my name to the receptionist. An hour later, I approached again inquiring if there was a problem only to be told that she had forgotten to pull my file! Another woman also behind the desk took me in for the field of vision test. I was then returned to the waiting room. I sat for another 45 minutes. At 11:45, I notified the same woman who did bring me in for my first of many needed tests, as well as, the incompetent receptionist that I was now leaving. I DID NOT cancel my appointment. The receptionist did not apologize. In effect, the incompetent receptionist canceled my appointment with her lack of competence! Later in the day, I made an appointment at the Bethpage office as I will never return to Lake Success although it is far more convenient. I now need to wait to have my glaucoma checked until May 17th, Dr Angelilli’s first available appointment. My pressure could be much higher between Feb 3rd and May 17th, as well as, I will run out of my two different drops and not be taking them any longer. All due to the awful office staff at OCLI in Lake Success. I pray that the result of this extremely unfortunate situation does not cause permanent damage to my optic nerve as a result of OCLI’s incompetent staff. Patients’ time is also valuable and OCLI clearly does not care about that or my eyes. The worker at the desk in your office should be reprimanded and/or terminated. I attempted to speak to Claudine, the Lake Success office manager. However, she did not return my call nor have the courtesy to e-mail me with an apology. Perhaps she should be fired, as well. Although I have the highest regard for Dr Angelilli, since she became affiliated with OCLI, the quality of the office staff is awful. If I could give a minus star, I would! I highly recommend Dr Angelilli, unfortunately OCLI and their horrible treatment of her patients comes along with her.
Dr. Allison Angelilli is one of the most professional, knowledgeable and kindest doctors I have ever known. She deserves a 5 star rating.
Dr.Angelilli performed cataract surgery on me and I could not have been more pleased. She made sure I was comfortable, explained everything clearly, and kept telling me how well I was doing during the procedure. Dr.Angelilli and her staff are A++. -Geraldine Varrassi
Dr.Angelilli is an outstanding in all respect. But office staff is not that great. Making appointment is very difficult. Very frustrating and disappointing.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
