I am a patient of Dr. Flamenbaum. I have been very pleased with her expertise. BUT, something must be done regarding making an appointment. I waited a full 25 minutes to speak to anyone. It is too bad, but I have gone elsewhere for care. My time is valuable as well.

Made an appointment here because my sister has been coming here for years and I always heard great things. Was extremely disappointed after driving all the way there from Suffolk County and filling out paperwork, to be informed that no doctors accepted my insurance. When I called to make my appointment and my insurance information was asked for and given, that is when that verification process should of occurred. Again very disappointed by the professionalism of the employees handling the appointments and insurance verification.

Had itchy rash on arms & foot. Doctor didn't look at foot maybe because she doesn't like touching feet. Offered me a strong steroid pill & mentioned side effects would be migraines, high BP and cholesterol. I asked for an alternative because of side effects & she gave me a different steroid ointment. I did not find out that it was $1000 until I got to duane reade. Used it anyway and it was not effective so I asked for the stronger steroid pill which was only $7. Shocked dat she ddnt say price b4

Dismissed a mole on my leg, which turned out to be melanoma. Fortunately, I got another opinion. She was more concerned about selling me her products. Absolutely horrible.

Dr Flamenbaum is still a pleasant, qualified md, but was safer to use before she joined Schweiger. in 2016 their main billing office in NYC overcharged my ins. co. thousands of dollars , and myself hundreds, and won't refund either one of us after numerous months. I had to switch to another dermatologist for non-medical reasons. I never had any billing issues when she was not affiliated with Schweiger, so I am fairly certain Schweiger is the problem.
