List of Montefiore Medical Center Ipa's Reviews
This place really sucks … there is no MD assigned to my father … how is it possible they dont have medications needed for the patient. They didnt have plavix needed for a heart patient with stents . They didnt have trellegy inhaler to provide to the patient so they use other inhaler . They didnt even have any diabetic medication and patient was advised to take medication when he gets home. He was in hospital for 3 days without medication. So many different MD have come to see my father while he is admitted in the hospital with all different stories and different treatments . The residents come before MD . The residents dont have any answers . This hospital is a DISGRACE to montefiore branches . It feels like they do all of this to increase the patient bill. When he was discharged they didnt give him any test results or any other reports he wanted only gave him discharged instructions. Dont come to this hospital . Only gave a star cause there wasnt a no star option . They didnt want to discharge him and were trying to convince him to procedures he didnt need . STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOSPITAL…
The Nurses at this hospital are FANTASTIC. They do a lot of work. They are respectful, kind, compassionate, and have a very good sense of humor. But, making someone walk or drive completely around the building to get to the ER is ridiculous. Personally, I think Montefiore is trying to destroy this hospital.
Can somebody explain to me how my adult son goes into ER with classic appendicitis symptoms, waits an excruciating 25 hours, during which time his appendix ruptures and then they finally remove his appendix? And they only did so after I flew in from California and raised Cain. Yes you read that right, I had time to travel 2 hours to Cali airport, fly across the USA and travel 2 more hours to New Rochelle and my son still hadn’t had surgery for this routinely diagnosable problem. No words.
STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. Having worked at quite a few different hospitals, I’m knowledgeable in a pretty fair basis for standard of service/care. This hospital does not come CLOSE to reaching that baseline. If you truly care about your loved ones and/or yourself, go to a different hospital. Nurses are extremely lazy and unprofessional. They are dismissive and bitterly rude. It’s clear that they are there for the money and do not care about patients at all. There is so much miscommunication between nurses, doctors, and staff that you end up being told multiple contradicting things at the same time. You’re always in the blind: not knowing when your surgery is up until literally the moment they wheel you out, approximate time of discharge, visitation, care. Absolutely everything. Took 2.5 hours for my brother to get a nurse’s attention after calling for help 5 times.Just a disclaimer, it was NOT busy or understaffed at all. But even if it was, they should have recommended that the patient go to another hospital if they were unable to adequately care for the patient. In the end, we left as soon as my brother got out of surgery to finish up his care at another hospital. PLEASE, to anyone considering Montefiore at New Rochelle…. STAY AWAY.
My first experience in the ER was great , went in for abdominal pain they ran all test and used all Recources to find the problem , I was in and out 5 hours isn’t bad for a busy week day !
I sat there on the phone making an appointment for like an hour. They would not schedule me for weeks. WEEKS.Then when I got there they "couldn't find me"I am in desperate need of my high blood pressure and asthma medications!!!!!I have been out for weeks!!!!These people are incompetent!!!!!!
Very poor service. The entire staff needs to be replaced. They have no care nor patience for the people coming in the ER
Emergency room waiting area had dried droplets of blood on the floor. Very dirty place. My issue was not helped. They gave me a pill and referenced me to a dermatologist. Thanks a lot. 🙄
Went to the emergency room yesterday at 9:30 p.m. I was placed in two waiting rooms. The first waiting room I sat for an hour waiting to go to the second waiting room. The second waiting room is where everything took place they triaged me and provided care. From 9:30 to 12:30 I was there for an x-ray just for them to confirm that I did have a broken toe. I was sorry I didn't go to an urgent care center. I don't know if it's because of COVID-19 but to share a waiting room with two other people is unacceptable. I went for a covif 19 test 2 months ago at WebMD and was placed in my own room. Bottom line if you have an an emergency and it's not covid related go to an urgent care facility. They took forever to get my results for the x-ray and I was told the radiologist is not located in the hospital The radiologist is located outside of the hospital somewhere in never never land. They taped my toe poorly I was just ready to leave. Oh and I think only because I complained about getting my results was the only reason it was 3 hours 😳Good luck. Very sad what's happening over at this hospital in New Rochelle I knew they were having some problems but I figured it was just a broken toe
Excellent!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
