I highly recommend Dr Pruzansky as a skilled hand surgeon who did an excellent job; of not just repairing my flexor tendon, but also in explaining the process, setting realistic\accurate expectations and putting up with my anxious questions. Surgery was just the beginning of the process and his close working relationship with the hand therapist was apparent throughout my recovery, which was integral to my success.I couldn't move my pinky finger, then after surgery and a few months of therapy, I was back typing and playing PC games with a keyboard and mouse again - barely a scar and almost full range of motion restored. Deep thanks and gratitude to Dr. Pruzansky, SPEAR therapy and all their staff!

I was sooooo embarrassed as I broke my pinky walking my dog! When I went to the ER, they told me I was going to need surgery - my first surgery ever. Dr. Jason was super empathic and understanding and got me scheduled for surgery the next day. He did warn me it would take up to a year to heal - half way thru, my pinky looks pretty good. thx!!

Patients often solely report negative experiences online, so it's important to note that I've also left a very positive review for another physician with whom I have a long-standing relationship. I saw Dr. Jason Pruzansky for a minor injury and left the office knowing (and communicating to him, right then and there) that I'd never return. Dr. Pruzansky seems accustomed to working with workers comp patients; it feels to me that his process is much less beneficial for those not in that "bucket." In addition to billing for my in-office visit + x-ray (as expected), he also attempted to add on a global fracture code which would have left me with several hundred dollars out of pocket, as I was leveraging my private insurance plan, not workers comp. When questioned about this, it was positioned as my issue. (Subsequently received a second opinion via a health system -- no global fracture code whatsoever). I work in healthcare and strongly disagree with the way in which he practices medicine.

My first visit to Dr. Pruzansky was surprising in the best way. He took time to explain the different complexities of my case and was attentive and seemed so present during the visit. He was able to explain things that had been confusing before and took the time to ensure that I understood the scope of my injury and next steps. I had been to a different hand specialist prior to this, and there is no comparison. Finding someone who understands and cares can be hard to find, and I’m so happy I was able to get some answers. I would highly recommend going to this practice if you have any hand needs.

A friend recommended Dr Jason Pruzansky to me and I have had the same excellent care that my friend had.Dr Pruzansky referred me to a specialist for nerve conduction testing which confirmed an earlier finding. Dr Pruzansky called me (!) to check in after he received those results. I’m planning to return soon for a follow-up visit.To his credit I think, Dr Pruzansky has not recommended surgery; to the contrary, he advised me to try other modalities, including some that had failed me in the past. With renewed effort, by a combination of PT/OT exercises, hand splints, and ergonomics, I have experienced less pain and improved hand strength.Recently I’ve had a relapse, due entirely to my stopping my hand care routine, so I’m giving it another try.Strong recommend!

Phenomenal experience. Efficient and pleasant office staff, lovely facility, and the doctor and radiologist were both great!  Dr. Jason Pruzhansky helped me understand my injury and put my mind at ease. He was thorough, patient, and knowledgeable.

I was recommended to Dr. Pruzansky by urgent care. I think he's probably a fine person and a decent doctor but his business practices are extremely lacking.He did literally exactly what they did at urgent care. Took a look at the fingers. Took an x-ray and put it in a splint. He just charged 4x what urgent care did.And look I get it he's an expert and all so I know it should cost more. My issue with the office is that they charged me $1,500 for "surgery" and claimed they manipulated my fingers when they did no such thing. $1,500 of my bill is bull crap. The other half they just over charged for. The offices explanation was that they charged me the $1,500 in the first visit because I would be able to come back for up 3 months and pay less for the subsequent visits. I was never given a choice. Hey do you like me? Am I a good doctor? Would you like to come back? Nope just overcharged with the assumption that I'd be back. They told me this explanation on my third visit. Because I forced them too. It's BS. Stay far away from these crooks.

Hand surgery is arguably the most intricate and complex of procedures in the general field of orthopedics, involving bone, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles, nerves, skin, blood vessels and the relationship between them. Any patient can speak to the extraordinary sensitivity of the hand. I was referred to Jason Pruzansky by my rheumatologist after it became clear that had the large basal joint and ligaments at the base of my thumb required reconstruction as a result of rheumatoid arthritis. I am a nervous patient of a certain age and Dr. Pruzansky not only addressed my surgical and post-surgical requirements but was exceedingly patient, kind, serious and calming. I recommend him without reservation.
