Excellent and highly professional dermatologist. She does sometimes run a little behind schedule, but she is very thorough, knowledgable and has excellent judgment.

Superb doctor. She is always part of teaching hospital so there are often residents working with her, but that just means you get more doctors involved with your care. Dr Buchholz is extremely thorough, highly professional, courteous, and simply works at a higher level than most dermatologists. No suggestions for cosmetic procedures here. Highly recommended

while this office can be sometimes maddeningly behind schedule, Dr. Buchholz has taken care of me for decades. i trust her with my health. with a family history of skin cancer, the doctor has been incredibly attentive to any abnormalities that have popped up over the years. i recommend her wholeheartedly.

Agreed that the wait is long to see Dr. Bucholz but she's fantastic and for me, despite an aversion to waiting to see doctors, absolutely worth it. She treats her patients with a level of respect one rarely sees in most doctors. Dr. Bucholz is knowledgeable, caring, and takes the time with her patients. The office staff is also lovely.

I was very disappointed with my initial visit with Dr. Buchholz. Dr. Buchholz sent in a resident (without asking permission) to gather information about my reason for the visit - this was after a nurse had already done the same thing. Once Dr. Buchholz finally joined the session, she only asked the resident to "catch me up" on my reasons for the visit rather than allow me to inform her directly - she basically created a mini game of telephone, which required me to correct details that I could have simply communicated to her in the first place.When I expressed concern about her treatment choices, she stated that the decision was "how I practice" and based off her "29 years of practice." She spent less than 5 minutes actually speaking to me and overall I experienced her as very dismissive with a lack of responsiveness for individual patient needs. I informed her that I would not be returning to her office and she seemed remarkably unconcerned.

I made a appointment with this doctor after my regular dermatologist dropped from my insurance plan, she was in same practice and specialized in my condition. When booked i was told 4:20, when I arrived i was informed my scheduled appointment was 4:50. At 5:30 i was finally called to office (I had been waiting area at this point for 1 hour and 20 minutes). The medical assistant was very pleasant reviewing my history and my current issue, after informing her this was a regular 3 months check-up suggested by my former dermatologist she left room to inform Dr. Buchholz. I overheard the doctor questioning her the reason for my visit. she continued to ask questions that were clearly in my chart history. I decided to dress, the assistant asked me not to leave and advised the doctor i was going to leave, she instructed her to tell me she would be in shortly. I was exasperated with her lack of concern; the long wait etc. All questions she wanted answered before entering the room were in my chart. She even asked the assistant if i had any flare-up; well, that was the reason for my visit, if i could diagnosis myself i wouldn't have bother to make appointment. Even as she was told i was dressing to leave she made no attempt to reach out to me. I don't know the treatment she usually accords her patient but if this is indicative of her service I suggest you stay away, I know I will.

I made an appointment which required me to book one week in advance. I was scheduled to see the doctor at :3:45pm today 1/16.. I was told at 4:25pm that the doctor was running 20 - 3o minutes late. At 5:15 I had to leave and requested a refund. This is a pattern with Dr Bicholz. Every time I have made an appointment with her she is a minimum of 1 hour late no matter what - that is her guarantee. When you see her she spends 15 minutes with you and send you on your way. DO NOT GO TO THIS DR.
