Ahf Healthcare Center - Chelsea's Online Review Report Card

The WORST clinic I have attended, not only do they take weeks to get back to you BUT the front staff is also very rude and negligent. I have been contacting them for over 3 weeks and I finally get a hold of them the person did not help whatsoever because they lost my bloodwork and they ask me to do it again... How is that my fault? so here I am without the medication that we need to survive. I was offered no help or solution... in the end, I am switching providers again.Not to mention they keep scheduling appointments for me without asking about my availability and without telling me what it is for.I would not recommend anyone were to attend this location. WORST PATIENT SERVICE EVER

Lovely staff but extremely erratic and non continuous care

Average wait time is over 30 mins.  Office staff is a mess, I've had appts cancelled on me, the Dr is never available and impossible to see, and I've had them forget to call me to give me test results when something can back positive.This place is a shit show.

It used to be good, however they have undergone two Dr changes in 2 years, which seem to delay appointments when it happens, and their solution is to interrupt your treatment, until you meet the new DR. which could be a month after. With no regard for your health, side effects or withdrawals, or seriousness of condition. You are on your own. To quote them verbatim " go to urgent care" which defeats the purpose of having a primary physician. Any relationship is based on trust, and this is no different. They way they handle their issue retaining Dr's feels very dishonest to me.

This place use to be good, However now it has completely fallen apart. The doctor or nurse practitioner does not care about clients and looks for any reason to charge insurance and the new front desk staff/nurses are rude, unprofessional and and extremely inexperienced

Helping others

I heard about this clinic from a friend of mine. The staff upstairs is amazing! and it truly is free. I cannot express enough how awesome and welcoming the upstairs staff is.The only reason I gave four out of five stars, is because if the security you first meet when walking in. Since they are the first face you see they should be nothing but welcoming and friendly. Especially in a clinic of this type, where most coming are nervous and anxious to begin with. The personality of the security is comparable to airport TSA. Although I appreciate the security they provide in the clinic, they’re approachability is to that of bullies in high school. I’ve been here three times, and every time I ask a question or ask to be directed to the right location, the approach to me is as if I’m illiterate, and I’m automatically asking dumb questions.There should be a nurse or someone else at the front desk to ensure a welcoming environment for all. They’re attitude, just towards me is disappointing. I can’t imagine what has happened to others. Hopefully this will become resolved, because this is a great place for free care.

A private practice feel with large clinic resources. Dr. Chavez is a great doctor and a pillar in the community! Recently in private practice, he is now medical director of this small clinic location which is part of the larger AHF organization. The facility offers their own on-site pharmacy, phlebotomy drawing lab, and modern online health tools comparable to any large hospital or clinic. The staff goes out of their way to be friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. Dr. Chavez is brilliant, experienced, knowledgeable and personable. Their on-site ”AHF Pharmacy - Chelsea” is awesome because they actually communicate back and forth with the clinicians so that you don’t have to, they offer delivery services, and they always answer the phone so speaking to a pharmacist is easy. In addition, 99 cents of every dollar earned by their Pharmacy goes to help support the world-wide work of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, providing healthcare and activism on behalf of people with HIV/AIDS throughout the developing world. A very interesting organization I am proud to help support.
