This was my first time seeing an acupuncturist, and I truly didn’t know what to expect — but after working with Dr. Joe, I’m now a huge believer in acupuncture and the healing it can provide. I originally came in for chronic lower back pain and general tension, especially in my neck and left leg — areas that hadn’t improved with stretching or chiropractic care alone. Dr. Joe has been incredible from day one. He has a calm, grounded presence and amazing bedside manner. He’s patient, attentive, and always takes the time to explain what he’s doing. He checks in with me before and after every session, listens carefully to my needs, and makes adjustments based on how I’m feeling. The treatment space is consistently spotless, calming, and relaxing — with soft music playing and a peaceful vibe that makes it easy to unplug from a busy or stressful day. I always leave feeling more balanced, lighter, and genuinely better. After the first month of treatment, I noticed major improvements in my pain and overall well-being. If you’re considering acupuncture for the first time — or looking for someone who takes a thoughtful, respectful, and holistic approach — I can’t recommend Dr. Joe highly enough

I highly recommend Alban Acupuncture. I have been coming to complement the PT for tightness/soreness in my right shoulder. Not only is Dr. Alban knowledgeable about acupuncture, he provides very good guidance about exercising to help with your healing. He is also great when it comes to dealing with your insurance company. The mobility in my right should improved dramatically after the acupuncture visits.

Joe is amazing. His bedside manner is unmatched; he takes the time to listen deeply and I always feel heard. He's always been able to help me with whatever I am dealing with from skin issues to body pain to gut issues and stress. I value his ability to assess what is going on, and problem solve with herbs and acupuncture in a professional and intuitive way. He always will take time to thoroughly do research when I need a custom formula, and always responds within a few hours if we are not in session. Acupuncture and Chinese herbs are some of the best things I've done for my health, and I've worked with a number of acupuncturists and Joe is by far the best one.

I have known Joseph Alban for several years. He is an amazing practitioner! I highly recommend Dr. Alban for acupuncture and Chinese medicine. I originally started seeing him for a facial rash that other doctors couldn't help with. He treated me with weekly acupuncture and Chinese herbs and my issue improved greatly. I will continue to see him for acupuncture, to help with stress reduction.
