Very good experience

Upon meeting Dr. Pigazzi, he understood my fears, and answered all of my questions with expert knowledge, patience, and compassion. My confidence in him was immediate, and when I expressed my desire to get the surgery done prior to the holidays, despite scheduling conflicts, he and his team made it happen. At the hospital, Dr. Pigazzi checked on me three times in less than 24 hours, and when I thanked him for all he did for me, he instantly gave credit to his team, which speaks volumes about his character. In addition to the blessing of being Dr. Pigazzi’s patient, I would be remiss to not mention his nurse Katie and the rest of his team. I spoke with many people on Dr. Pigazzi’s team throughout this journey, and every single one of them mirrored Dr. Pigazzi’s professionalism, expertise, and caring demeanor. If you have the chance to have Dr. Pigazzi as your surgeon, you will receive excellent care.

From the moment I met Dr. Pigazzi and his nursing staff they were kind, patient, and attentive. I came to Dr. Pigazzi for a second opinion regarding my diverticulitis and ended up choosing to use him to preform my colon resection surgery. He gave me a feeling of security, due to his expertise and bedside manner. His nursing staff encouraged me to reach out to them with any questions and concerns, both before and after surgery and Dr. Pigazzi came to check on me post-op. I feel so happy that I chose his practice.

One of His many blessings is that He sent us to your particular hospital out of all those in NY, and specifically, placed us in the golden hands of Dr. Pigazzi, whose surgical talents were only equaled by his professionalism, his warmth and caring. The best. I cannot say enough about Dr. Pigazzi. He's the entire package, extremely talented, brilliant, and empathetic with the best bedside manner. I feel so fortunate he was recommended to me. I saw him for an intestinal resection due to my Crohn's Disease. He was extremely thorough and spent significant time discussing my case with both my GI and me before surgery. He listened to all of my concerns and took them all into account, even while I was under anesthesia on the operating table. One reason I saw him was because I hoped my surgery could be done laparoscopically, and with the complexities involved, there was no guarantee. However, I knew if anyone could do it, he would be the one that could. And I was right. In addition, everything he said in regard to what to expect post-surgery was spot on, from the recovery room to my one-year surgical anniversary, it's like he has a crystal ball! I cannot recommend him enough and while I hope I never have to go through surgery again, he would be my top choice if needed!

Dr. Alessio Pigazzi literally saved my life. I was suffering from diverticulosis and put off treatment because of trips I had planned and I finally made it in to see Dr. Pigazzi when my sigmoid colon was completely diseased with diverticula and was attaching to my bladder turning into a fistula. He magically removed my sigmoid colon and 12 days later I’m in the gym working out lightly for the next 4 weeks and thanking God I found him in time. Thank you Dr. Alessio Pigazzi Chief

I had Diverticulosis of the sigmoid colon and Dr. Alessio Pigazzi magically removed my sigmoid colon and 12 days later I am back in the gym working out lightly for the next four weeks until I’m completely healed. I had put off the surgery due to trips that were planned and I got in just in time as my sigmoid colon was attaching to my bladder turning into a fistula and Dr. Pigazzi literally saved my life.
