Unprofessional and rude. I arrived early, got checked in and was shown to the waiting room. The entire time I was in there, I could hear a staff member having a loud personal conversation as the office is very small. I assumed this was someone on their break but after 30 minutes, I began to wonder if this was Dr. Gruen. I went to the front desk to ask how much longer and was told Dr. Gruen was in a "meeting". I asked if the woman on the phone was the doctor and if that was her meeting and they said yes. Asked for a refund and walked out. Unbelievable to waste a patient's time like that while you chat on the phone. Even if it was a meeting, why schedule it for the same time as my appointment? There's a reason Gruen's schedule is wide open: because she's rude AF

Alison is intelligent, professional, caring, personable, and pragmatic in dealing with your dermatology issues. The customer experience is not a buzzword for Alison, she executes against it. I highly recommend her!! Her high energy, can do attitude is refreshing, and genuine.

I adore Dr. Gruen! I have been seeing her for 15 years. She has always been kind, compassionate and understanding. She is conservative in her approach, and always accurate in a diagnosis. The best!

I saw Dr. Gruen at her Greenwich Village location. She’s knowledgeable, smart and friendly and has a great bedside manner. She took a conservative approach in my diagnosis, which saved me from a biopsy and scar. She even called my father, a retired dermatologist, to discuss the diagnosis (and he said she sounded great). Would definitely recommend!
