Dr. Adler is the most rude doctor I have ever encountered. He pretty much contradicted everything I had to say, was condescending and instead of offering helpful advice or solutions spent the entire appointment trying to prove that everything I was saying or feeling was wrong. He is extremely unprofessional and I left the appointment in tears. Absolute waste of time.
Possibly the worst medical appointment in memory: Dr Adler is rude and condescending, questioning my description of my condition and description of pain level and treating me like a child. Zero for bedside manner
This doctor charged an exorbitant amount of money for a procedure he didn’t know how to do and needed help with doing. Following the procedure, my problem was not solved and I was told to return again. My issue was not solved so I came back only to be charged the same amount for the same procedure and yet again, nothing solved. I went to another doctor in hopes to solve my problem and it was fixed in one visit at about half the price. This is exact doctor you should not visit, dishonest and looking for cash.
My appointment with Dr Adler was a waste of time. He looked at my almost healed rash on the back of my leg, diagnosed it as "dermatitis", and gave me a prescription for some cream. Never mind that the rash has reoccurred 4 times in the last 3 months with burning, itching and oozing blisters ( he never even asked me to describe what happens, only how I treated it,) and never mind that I have had these rashes every spring/early summer for the last 6 years. Upon departure, he suggested that perhaps I might have pennies or coins in my pocket that could irritate my skin. I do not have any pants with pockets at the back of my knees, and also told him that the rashes followed sun exposure. Needless to say, he seemed utterly uninterested in my problem, and I felt I dismissed in the 5 minutes he gave me.
BEWARE!!! I went to this doctor for cosmetic removal (something I have had done in the past with total success) and after him not knowing what to do and having to call in a esthetician to evaluate me herself, I was charged a large sum of money and this issue didn't go away. Despite my hesitation, I went back for a followup session hoping that the doctor could redeem himself. After a total of $800 spent on two sessions, my issue has not resolved. Wouldn't go back here if someone paid me.
Indifferent and dismissive. Not for me.
Dr. Adler is very through and professional. I’ve seen him on at least 8 occasions and waited little more then 10-15 minutes at the most. As far as the comment from the first reviewer, Dr. Adler does what is an excellent practice doing a full body inspection annually. During this evaluation he marks all moles, etc to watch year to year. I would definitely recommend him if you care about to level of professionalism and care.
Do not go to this doctor! I went to see him for my scalp issues and during my visit he saw I had acne on my face and took he took initiative and look at it. I did not ask him to take a look at it, nor he asked my permission nor he warned me that he will charge me for this as a separate acne visit!!! As well during my visit I felt a very weird vibe from him. In the beginning of my visit I felt he was looking at me and after he suggested since it is my first visit he can look for moles on my whole body. Obviously I would need to undress for that! My gut feeling was telling me that something is very fishy in here and I felt very uncomfortable!! He noticed that and said ok, maybe next time! Even getting my prescription was something not right, he particularly prescribed me a specific medicine, that was very expensive. The pharmacist concat him asked if I can use the exactly equivalent medicine just cheaper and he said no! The pharmacist was suspicious and said that he is involved in some kind of shady businesses. I ended up getting that expensive medicine which they had a some kind promotion going there you had to call and they shipped this medicine into my home for $50. He gave me this promotion/coupon. After I received the bill there was a little bit over $300 which I had to pay for acne visits!! Which I did not asked for nor I was warned I will be billed for it seperatly!!! I feel scammed and contacted BBB to make a complaint! Please be aware of him!
As someone who has worked in hospitals and clinics before, I understand if a clinic gets hectic. However, having gone here twice, I see that there is no excuse for such rudeness and lack of attentiveness. During my first visit here, there was only one other patient after me and the two staff members available. However, Dr. Adler seemed in rush, giving my whole visit less than five minutes of time. The wait time was also unreasonably long considering there were no other patients before me at the time. The prescription he gave was excessive in amount and did not help at all. His other prescription helped so I figured I should return and give it another shot because maybe it was just a "hectic" day. During my second visit a few months later, I learned that there was no excuse as the same thing happened! He literally only spent two minutes during the whole visit and there was a 25 minute wait time when I was the only patient there. He was extremely arrogant and rude, and didn't try to let me explain my symptoms or anything fully. Bedside manners were equally as poor. It may be the upper east side and the people may be a bit snooty but that is no excuse for such lack of compassion, care, and professionalism. Surprisingly there were three other staff members during my second visit who were just lounging around and kept me waiting when I asked to pay for my visit. Suffice it to say this is a poorly run practice and I am definitely not coming back regardless of the convenience in location.
He is arrogant never follows up and gives out all the same creams to everyone. Waste of a degree on a useless dr. I had an appointment today and rushing over there on my lunch hour to only find out ten minutes after I was supposed to see him, he wasn't even in the office. I am fuming and I am sure he doesn't care but he has lost a patient and all the patients I referred. Awful and just another NYC dead beat doctor. Patient be ware.
Each time I go I am on time but have to wait an hour before getting to see the doctor. Then he barely gives me 5 minutes before he has one foot out t ...
Dr. Adler tok the time to listen to my concerns about a skin rash. He was thorough on his questioning and exam. He treated it successfully and had me come back in follow-up. He had a thorough knowledge of skin diseases and was really caring.I especailly liked that he did general dermatolgy and did not try and ush any cosmetic procedures, as many derms tend to do these days.I highly recommend Dr Adler.
