List of Alyson Gutman's Reviews
I was waiting from long time for my Son Developmental Pediatrician visit and it was very important appointment for me. I was expecting, I will provide all the important documents and important Questionnaires related documents by email and we will discuss big part of discussion about my Son with Dr. Gutman during video visits( 1st and 3rd video visit). I also expected that Dr. Gutman will also like to discuss with me some questions during in person visit about my Son. I was thinking before in person visit that Dr. Gutman will Evaluate and observe my Son by doing different activities with him and talk to him most of the 90 minute In Person visit . But Dr. Gutman didn’t focus much to Evaluate our Son during this visit but she was only focused to writing the information in system and papers and ask us the same questions which questionaries i received on day before evening my Son’s in Person visit. I still have more than week to submit that Questionnaire before 3rd video visit and i shared with Dr. Gutman that i will submit it by email along with more documents as soon as possible. I was not getting positive response from Dr. Gutman when she was talking with me during my Son in Person visit. I am feeling Dr. Gutman didn’t Evaluate my Son properly during my Son in Person visit. I had very sad and disappointed experience during in Person visit with Dr. Gutman.
Dr Gutman is everything you want in a doctor. Intelligent, knowledgeable, kind, and compassionate. Can’t recommend her highly enough!
The wait to see her is long but she spends just as much time with your child so it evens out. Dr. Gutman is thorough, doesn't jump to medication and looked at my son as a whole- not just from a school point of view. She wrote an extensive letter detailing appropriate accommodations based on her assessments and the schools evaluation. She is kind yet straight forward. I'm glad we chose her as our son's Dr.
I called just to find out she doesn't see 17 yo Olds. OK. So I ask her staff for some idea and they transferred me to LIJ which doesn't work with people like my son. So I call back to ask who she refers her patients who age out to and her nasty clerk said we can't give you a name 'Google it' Its not that easy. When you have a doc who is so highly talented and sends her patients to another MD you at least have a sense that maybe that doc is slightly better than some random name on Google... Most of which don't specialise in what I need to help my son. So I ask to speak to a manager. The clerk comes back on the phone and gives me the name of some doc who charges $600 for the intake and doesn't accept insurance. You people are supposed to care and if you can't help then care enough to help a family find someone reputable. But instead I got a nasty clerk who came back with a name of some doctor only a select few could afford. And to be honest, it get like she chose the one doctor who would be out of possibly for most regular people... And that she was being nasty and spiteful because she didn't want to help. Dr. Gutman. From one medical professional to another... If you really care teach your staff how to guve a crap and not be so unwilling to help Guve out names of docs so that people who need help have a place to start finding help Imagine it was your kid and try to have some empathy. It's really upsetting that your front line staff is so unwilling to help
Dr Gutman had not done my son's initial intake and spent a year saying "I don't know much about him, I'm not comfortable". It did not seem like she read his neuro psych or assessments. A terrible waste of time during his critical development years.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
