List of Amrita Sethi's Reviews
Waited 4 hours for procedure. Totally unprofessional. It was really frustrating. Staff were nice but Dr. Sethi does not care whether patients wait or not. She just overbook cases and that’s it. It’s all about money than the welfare of her patients.
Would never recommend Dr. Sethi. She has 0% skill and compassion. She literally butchered my dad’s esophagus in his POEM procedure and I saw how she treats amazing nurses that helps her. She treats them like worthless people the way she speak with them like she is the only important person in the room. I would’ve just gone somewhere else. If there’s a zero star review I would have given her that because that’s what she deserves.
No matter how early you arrive for a procedure u will wait 2 hrs to be seen. She could care less about her patients
I recently saw Dr. Sethi for an examination relating to several gastrointestinal issues. The doctor was extremely helpful and professional and I really was impressed with the manner in which she conducted my examination. Moreover I was very impressed with her entire staff.
I think Dr Sethi is very knowledgeable. She’s a good commutator during a visit but she does not use the patient portal, which is very disappointing because it’s a great way to ask questions. The fact that she doesn’t use the portal creates an even bigger problem because her support staff is apathetic and not responsive. So not using the portal becomes a much bigger deal for the patient because there’s zero communication. I’ve yet to see her administrator be effective in her job. I’m still waiting for results from my last test. It’s unfortunate that ineffective support staff can cast such a negative shadow on the doctor.
I've been treated twice by Dr Sethi and her team and both times the experience was exceptional. Her intervention and excellent clinical skills allowed me to avoid a major surgery. I can't thank her and her team enough for their caring, concern and clinical expertise.
Dr Sehti has zero communication skills. She claims she explained what she did, however I was still under the influence of anesthesia when she did. She is argumentative & nearly impossible to reach. I am not qualified to comment on her surgical skills , however I would never recommend her. She did not inform me to stop taking my blood thinner medications prior to surgery & that alone is reason to avoid her at all costs.
Terrible. After endoscopy procedure, Dr Sethi gave no prescription to pharmacy, very little patient care and respect, staffs were rude. I was unconscious for 5 hrs for simple procedure; and when I woke up, I was very nauseous, lots of pain in throat and stomach, I had back pain. My wrist where IV line was taken out was black and blue for several days. My daughter took photos because image and pain were very bad.
My wife saw Dr. Sethi as a follow-up to her pancreatitis attack. We were very impressed with her professionalism. She took the time to explain all options going forward. She answered all of our questions. We never felt rushed. She presented my wife's case in the department's weekly pancreas conference and her NP called us immediately with the recommendation for gallbladder removal. She helped arrange a quick appointment with the surgeon who did the surgery. Dr. Sethi was caring and reassuring.
While I do not believe that people looking for a physician are navigating to Yelp as their "go to", the nasty comments about Dr. Sethi (duplicated by the same reviewer over a couple of years, a woman who apparently delights in ranting about New York caregivers and "filing complaints" about imagined offenses) are not just uneducated and laughable, they are patently untrue. I doubt that any doctor gives a flying eff about what any social media reviewers have to say about the way they practice medicine, but potential patients who depend on a quick google search because they don't know any better can actually be harmed by stupidity like what I see here.Dr. Sethi is a consummate professional on every level, skilled at providing the types of interventions you CANNOT GET in Podunk, Tx because there is not a long list of people capable of performing them. I've had more doctors than most, and her bedside manner, along with her level of compassion and total LACK of arrogance put her on the "good to superior" end of the spectrum. I'm sure I'm not allowed to call out specific reviewers for being dangerously stupid, so I'll just leave it at (blank) and (blank) are probably Russian bots, sent to destroy the average American's ability to access quality GI and endoscopic care. Don't let the communists win.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
