Dr Petelin is a top tier professional. He asks me questions and actually took the time to LISTEN to my answer and I could literally see him evaluating and thinking through what I was saying to find the best way to treat me. And, he personally followed up with a telephone call. All I'm saying, I'm glad that person canceled their appointment so I could see him the next day after looking him up. But, if you have to wait, he is worth it. He's legit!!!

Dr. Petelin is my PCP and is great. I've had mixed experiences with other Mount Sinai doctors, but Dr. Petelin stands apart. He cares about his patients and will respond to inquiries in an expeditious manner. He will also check in every so often to see how I'm doing. Would highly recommend him.

Amazing, he took care of my husband and I. His staff were always on top of things. Unfortunately our insurance changed and we can’t see him anymore :(

Very very good doctor! Wait time was maybe 5-10 mins after my appointment time. The MyChart app is very convenient for check-in, getting the labs, and the doctor's notes. The doctor did a very thorough exam, asked lots of questions, all the while telling me what he's thinking. Could not ask for more.

For all I know Dr. Petelin is a fine doctor. However, I have no idea because his practice somehow failed inform me that they do not participate in health exchange policies despite the fact that they are listed on Empire BCBS as an eligible provider and on ZocDoc they show up as accepting exchange policies. A clerical error on their end that they failed to inform me about until I had already come in for my appointment, weeks after it was made. Completely unprofessional.

Seemed like he was more interested in entering my information into the computer than sharing the information with me. Also tried to get me to switch to specialists in the Mt Sinai group even though I was totally happy with the specialists I already had relationships with.
