List of Anita P. Lasala's Reviews
Worst doctor that I have ever had. She does not care about her patients care.
I see unfortunately that Dr. Anita Lasala has not changed in her treatment towards the BIPOC community. If you are for whatever reason “stuck” with her as patient please do the following to protect yourself in the event something goes medically wrong. 1. Have all issues documented in you patient chart. If Dr.Lasala refuses your medical request ensure your medical chart/record for the day states “refusal of patient request for...” obtain a copy from medical records. Be sure you inform her that you want it documented in your chart for the visit. 2. Follow up with an email stating your concern regarding your appointment in terms of what did or did not take place. Bcc: Patient services on the email. Keep your paper trail. 3. Get a Doula. You will need one if she is your doctor. Expectant mothers matched with a doula have better birth outcomes. Doula-assisted mothers were four times less likely to have a low birth weight (LBW) baby, two times less likely to experience a birth complication involving themselves or their baby. Remember if Dr.Lasala is your doctor you must be your own medical advocate. Knowledge is key and power.
Was recommended to see Dr. Sala for medical clearance. She never examined me. I was summarily dismissed in a brusque manner. I am a black woman and I believed her treatment to condescending and uncaring. Please do not be afraid to ask for another physician.
Black Lives Matter! Doctors take an oath to treat all patients equally, and yet not all patients are treated equally well by Doctor Lasala. This doctor will ignore your pain complaints, not give you bed rest nor disability during your high risk pregnancy. Hospitalization might be provided when you are literally near death. Those luxuries are only provided to a hue of individuals. Allowing them to rest and be monitored under the care of the hospital. If you are a BIPOC you will not get the same care by this doctor. There are other doctors at the practice who are amazing. I advise if you value the life of your unborn child you see another MFM.
Very poor service. It’s a factory that doesn’t work because everything is delayed. We’ve always waited for at least hour.
No patience exhibited at all!
It is obvious this medical provider has a preference for some groups over others, either implicit or explicit. This will affect your treatment throughout your pregnancy. You will feel there is little expectation of success for your pregnancy as a patient. Proceed with caution with Dr. Anita Lasala.
It’s not only okay to seek a second (and third) opinion, it’s okay to find an entirely new doctor. The moment you feel uncertain or uncomfortable with Dr. Lasala it is ok the change doctors. Follow your instinct. It does not matter if you are in your 1st, 2nd or 3rd trimester. Make the change! Your life and that of your unborn child depends on it. Always keep a file with all your prenatal records readily available, whether hard copy or pdf to make it easy to change doctors quickly.
Empathy has been noticeably lacking in medicine as of late. In the past few decades, doctors have developed a reputation for being cold and aloof, for treating patients as numbers and objects, not human beings with valid lived experiences and unique histories. One of the most common complaints among patients today is the “clinical” attitude of their attending physicians. That word has become synonymous with detached, unempathetic, and impersonal treatment—everything many of us would much rather our attending physician not be. Dr. Anita Lasala lacks empathy. She is intelligent however her bad bed side manners over shadow her intelligence and experience.
I had full placenta previa along with other conditions and denied maternity disability and hospitalization. Horrible MFM!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
