Apple Ophthalmology's Online Review Report Card

I came here for a comprehensive eye exam and was provided an estimate of $250. I arrived 5-10 minutes early but the appointment started late, and the consultation itself was disappointing. The doctor spent time talking about unrelated topics instead of focusing on my eye health, and the visit itself was also short. Not very helpful, but I got my eye exam, so I paid and left. The real problem happened a few weeks after, when I was unexpectedly billed an ADDITIONAL $256, for a total of $506, just for an eye exam, that was definitely not worth the quality of service I received. If I had known ahead of time, when I requested the estimate, that a simple eye exam was $500+, I would not have booked with them. I understand it may be due to my insurance or whatever, but how can an estimate be off by 100%? The lack of transparency around billing is concerning and unprofessional. I will most definitely not be back and do not recommend. I'm sure there are many better providers who are honest and upfront.

Dr. Asoma and the entire staff are always kind and attentive, which makes them truly trustworthy. I’m consistently impressed by their professional and careful work every time I visit. The facility is also exceptionally clean and well maintained. いつも有難うございます！

This is my third annual visit. I appreciate that the practice is an ophthalmologist that reviews your eyes with multiple tests. Unfortunately this year, I was waiting for the doctor for 30+ minutes after the tests were completed. The cost of the ophthalmologist as my annual eye doctor may not be worth the tests and the unexpected wait.

I found Dr. Asoma through Google search, based on top reviews. I was trying to address my dry eyes symptoms. I am so glad I found Apple. Dr. Asoma and the staff took very good care of me, answered all my questions throughout a thorough exam. I also go allergy testing while I was there, and discovered I had a couple of allergies which now makes sense. Dr. Asoma sent me off with a sample trial for dry eyes, coupons for OTC drops and the staff emailed care recommendations for the two allergies and the results of my allergy test. Recommend highly

Apple Ophthalmology is the best eye center I have ever been to in my life. They have state of the art equipment and their doctors are all very dedicated to their patients and intelligent. Dr. Teru worked with me to help get me fitted for contacts. For years I have been trying to wear contacts but have been unable to get them to work and the doctors at other shops gave up trying to find an option. Dr. Teru never gave up and finally was able to help get me a pair of contacts that work. I can finally see without glasses and life is awesome. If you have any sort of eye issue or challenging situation Apple Ophthalmology won’t give up like other shops and will make sure their patients come out better on the other side. Lastly, I was impressed when I had a question and Dr. Teru responded to me over the weekend.

I had to wait over an hour even though I had made a reservation. The young doctor seemed not used to it and took a long time to examine me. I will never go there again.

The woman who answers the phone here is so rude and mean. I can’t come here anymore because of her alone. It’s laughable to offer someone an appointment a month away when I’m an existing patient calling about an active eye infection.

Just had my first appointment and I can safely say I will recommend Apple Ophthalmology and especially Dr. Hayashi to everyone I know. I arrived a little too early for my appointment but they got me checked in right away and I didn’t even wait long in the waiting room. The entire staff was friendly and patient and it was the most positive ophthalmic experience I’ve had in the last two years. I’ve never known any eye doctor to explain everything so clearly but she was so informative and very personable and they emailed everything I would need after the appointment afterwards which for me is great because I have the memory of a goldfish. I didn’t feel like I was being rushed to get to the next patient. Far exceeded expectations.
