List of Armand Cacciarelli's Reviews
I scheduled a pre-colonoscopy screening with Dr. Cacciarelli. His office informed me that he only takes these appointments on evenings, so I scheduled an appointment at 6 pm. I arrived several minutes early and waited..and waited. When I asked the front desk why it was taking so long, the reply was that Dr. C usually double books his appointments. I was finally let into an examination room about 1.5 hrs after my appointment was scheduled. And finally saw Dr. C at about 7:45 pm. Instead of explaining to me what the procedure was about, he handed me 2 printed handouts, asked me to read them (while he was checking my files on the computer) and then asked me if I had any questions after reading it. He also said double booking happens because patients usually reschedule/cancel, and I came at a day when that did not happen, essentially blaming patients for the long wait. Moreover, he awkwardly asked 'where I was from' several times, after replying I was from NJ.
I am grateful for Dr Cacciarelli’s care for my GI issues several years ago until I left NYC. He was kind, compassionate, easy to talk to, knowledgable and basically everything I want in a Dr. It was an honor and a privilege to be cared for and treated by this gem of a professional and outstanding human being. I highly recommend Dr. Cacciarelli.
Doctor Cacciarelli made me feel very welcome in his office with his personable and caring attitude! He is mature and a knowledgeable doctor, even though he looks much younger than his age. * Bottom line: He made me feel very relaxed and cared for.
My other doctors I have are compassionate and concerned about my health. What rates him above everyone, in my opinion, is his facial expression when I told him about my current issue! I never had anyone with that expression except my family! I've been with for about 15 yrs and plan on being with him another 15!
I came to Dr. Cacciarelli with a referral from my PCP, a list of questions, and a history of gastrointestinal issues. Despite outlining my questions to him, I was asked multiple times “what exactly I was doing here.” He spent most of his time lecturing me about my weight, despite me telling him I had a history of eating disorders and was seeing a dietitian and therapist. He spent our 10 mins on Amazon showing me fiber tablets. He finally proceeded to announce (in the hallway leading to the waiting room) that the results of my endoscopy years prior could not possibly diagnose the issues I had. At the front desk, I asked if I could please pay my copay and was told there was none. I then received a letter over 2 months later asking me to send a check for $20 for his services. Unprofessional and disorganized.
As of this review he’s 30 min late for my appointment.
As of this review he is 45 min late for my appointment. The receptionists tell me this is typical. He may be s good doctor (I don’t know yet) but he doesn’t seem to care about insulting his patients.
Waited 35 mins no one spoke to me just gave me an inordinate amount of paperwork. Walked out no follow up from office
He called me back within hours, scheduled me for a next day appointment, and somehow squeezed me into his unbelievable busy schedule to get an endoscopy within 5 days!! I really appreciated his caring and kindness!!
I had a recent appointment with Dr. Cacciarelli, and found him to be very caring and thorough. I would highly recommend him!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
