Ayla Yavin Acupuncture & Herbs's Online Review Report Card

I started working with Ayla in October 2024 when I was dealing with an ulcerative colitis flare that started in June and difficulty getting pregnant. After having spent years on intensive medications that caused insane side effects, I was eager to pursue strategies that focused on healing my gut and addressing underlying causes as opposed to treating symptoms (particularly when those treatments led to other unpleasant symptoms). Ayla was a committed and dedicated clinician who took time to learn about my health, lifestyle, and goals, and tailor her approach to my needs. I've felt continuously listened to and heard. Over the past 3.5 months, through a combination of acupuncture, Chinese Herbs, and supplements, I have managed to achieve remission from my flare and am now pregnant. I am the healthiest and happiest that I have been in months. I am extremely grateful to Ayla and could not recommend her more highly. Thank you Ayla!!

Ayla is amazing! She is calm, kind and welcoming. As one who has always feared needles, she has put me at complete ease with the process. I sought treatment from Ayla in order to help with shoulder surgery recovery and anticipate I will continue to see her for acupuncture, even once fully recovered. My doula recommended Ayla to help flip the baby when we found they were in the frank breech position. This was my first time getting acupuncture, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm now 36 weeks and the baby is in the vertex position! Would highly recommend Ayla for all acupuncture needs :)

This was my first time using acupuncture. As far as I can assess, my sports injury had devolved to a point where traditional PT wasn't helping. Ayla helped me get it back to where PT began helping again. She asked a lot of questions each week and I feel that her verbal advice each week was just as valuable as the treatment itself. Ayla is the best acupuncturist I’ve ever had. I’ve been dancer broken, pregnant, post-partum broken and plain life broken and every single time she helps me find my center. I’ve limped into her office with terrible knee pain, back pain or slept wrong on my neck that gets stuck and can’t move for a week pain. You name it, she will make it better. She also has calmed anxiety when life throws curveballs and actually has helped me breathe deep again. She is a magic healer and I would trust her with anything. I honestly don’t know what I would do without her.

Ayla really puts thought into the treatment and advice she gives you, and she had great results with me. I've had decades of chronic back issues, and I have seen many different health care professionals who have given me lots of different advice and exercises, mostly with middling or slightly positive results. Ayla, on the other hand, got at a deep root cause of my issues after just a few sessions. She noticed that I was over-activating my hamstrings and trained me to isolate the hamstrings and get power from my glutes instead, and this resulted in a massive improvement in my back. (BTW, I think her background as a dancer gives her additional body intuition even beyond her healthcare training.) All of this is in addition to the fact that I feel an improvement from the acupuncture every time I see her. Thank you, Ayla!

I never write reviews but couldn’t be happier to write one for Ayla. I can say she truly has changed my life. In a not so normal acupuncture woe, my feet and calves have hurt from standing/walking/breathing since I was a teen. Ayla quickly identified the issues (tight hips and calves from years of dance) and filled me up with needles. It was the first time in my life I’d felt relief. That aside, acupuncture has changed my shoulders/back/jaw pain/stress/anxiety that had become normal standards of my daily life. On top of all of that, Ayla is kind, generous, caring and funny- I always look forward to seeing her. I was afraid of needles originally but acupuncture really isn’t “needles” in the same way - so thin they’re almost paper. I’ve been seeing her since 2018 (!!!) and send everyone I hold near and dear to this beautiful practice.

As a Broadway performer, I have been relying on Ayla’s help for years to relieve and rejuvenate my body! I whole heartedly recommend her for her powerful and multifaceted abilities as an acupuncturist, but also because she’s an amazing person.

There aren’t enough words to describe Ayla. She cares deeply about her clients, and is always available should you need a quick last minute appointment. I was a total skeptic re acupuncture and she made me a believer. I feel 10x lighter and at peace after my appointments. I’ve come in with sciatica so painful I could barely walk, and the next day it’s practically gone. So stressed out and leave calm. But most importantly, Ayla is an amazing listener, healer and human.
