I had symptoms of a possible retina tear over the weekend and was referred to Dr. Ben Cohen. He called me immediately on a Saturday and was sooooo helpful and reassuring. He also gave me his cell and told me to call if things got worse at all - which I ended up doing on a Sunday morning and he was again incredibly responsive. He saw me before his normal patients this morning before the office even opened. I was lucky it turned out to not be a tear, and I am forever indebted to this kind and knowledgable doctor.

Dr.Cohen is one of the most caring and thorough eye specialist in all of New York.I was on the verge of going blind in my right eye and Dr.Cohen saved it .He is a Great person .I am blessed to have found him

My appt was in August 2020. No temperature check was done and questions about covid exposure were not asked. While seating was appropriately done this was not helpful as he had a large standing room crowd with people on top of each other. DR. CoHen did have covid a few months ago and has antibodies so he probably doesn’t give a hoot about the potential for spread among patients. STAY AWAY!

If you're looking for a doctor to hold your hand and become your best friend, Dr. Cohen is not your guy. If you're looking for the best retinal surgeon in the northeast, Dr. Cohen is your guy. I chose the latter and I'm grateful every day for my eyesight. I have had multiple surgeries on both eyes. I will confirm other reviews that he is available 24/7. Cannot imagine being an emergent surgeon.

Dr Cohen has been very helpful in treating my retinal detachment during holiday period. He responded to the emergency situation I had very quickly on Friday evening and had the follow up treatment further. He was very accessible and responded to my questions very quickly. I am hoping no one will experience retinal problem (rare case) but if you do- then you know you should call Dr Cohen and his team!

Dr. Cohen is a terrific retinal specialist. Although he is one of a string of noted ophthalmology experts who attempted to fix my condition, and though the condition remains, he was the first to show a caring, thoughtful, energetic approach which makes me hopeful for the future. His practice and colleagues are top-notch and excellent! No time was wasted. Truly a special person with a gift for patience and achieving results.
