I visited with Dr. Shubin Stein from out-of-state regarding knee pain that has persisted for over a year. I was anxious to meet with her because of HSS' reputation, and because she started the patellofemoral center at HSS in order to better research knee pain. Dr. Shubin Stein was thorough, and wanted to see additional imaging before we met. She helped me understand the imaging and why my knee pain has persisted. I believed I needed surgery, and I appreciate that she was focused on what was best for my health - she recommended holding on surgery for several years, and discussed ways I can help alleviate the pain. She also discussed how one of the surgical recommendations I had received has been proven ineffective. I wish I had researched an excellent physician 15 years ago, when I had better options. The office staff was outstanding, with a special call out to Danny. He made it easy to work with the office from out-of-state, and was a pleasure to work with.

She and her staff are the best. I am not sure how I can add to that. Dr. Beth is world class skilled and genuinely cares. Her staff gets to know you personally and is attentive to detail. It matters. They really do care about their patients and getting the best outcome possible.

I would never recommend this doctor! She pushes surgery and only reluctantly discusses non-surgical options. Additionally, she has no consideration for her patients time and keeps patients waiting without warning for long periods of time.
