On August 17th, 2022 Dr. Youngerman performed deep brain stimulation surgery on me. The operation was a necessity for me as my Parkinsons disease tremors were getting worse. Today I am much improved. Dr. Youngerman put me at ease from the get go . I am very satisfied with the results as my tremors are now much much less. I recommend Dr Youngerman very highly if you are contemplating DBS surgery.

A follow up with Dr. Youngerman 5 months after the actual surgery. The results have been spectacular and no surprise due to Dr. Youngerman's expertise. He was succinct in his evaluation and keenly listened to our observations The visit was short and to the point since everything clicked off well as a result of the surgery. Next time to see Dr. Youngerman will be when we replace the battery!.

Dr. Youngerman was incredibly knowledgeable, supportive and patient. He has a very calm approach and really made me comfortable with something that was likely not a big deal, but quite scary for me until we had the test results to be sure. His team, Jessica and Evangeline, were incredible - so responsive, helpful and caring. As the patient it makes a huge difference in the whole process. Another great experience for me with Columbia Neurology, thank you!

Dr. Youngerman did my DBS brain surgery for my Parkinson's. He's very caring and very capable!

In early May I had an MRI the revealed a mass, a maningioma, that needed to be removed. Met Dr. Youngerman that afternoon, he told me the operation would be the next morning. Everything went smoothly. The next day, to be honest, I don't recall anything about the operation just being in my room and seeing my niece and minister as I woke. No pain. The only time I thought about pain was when the medical staff would ask me if there was any.

Dr. Youngerman’s understated manner gave me a great of confidence that I had come to the right place for DBS. Judging from the results, one year later, he clearly did not oversell the impact of this life altering surgery. While he said it was not a cure it’s positive effects have made my life much better. I would recommend him to anyone considering DBS.
