On a recent 3 day visit to NYC, I forgot my battery charger at home, leaving me unable to communicate. (I had just purchased new "chargeable" aids and had completely forgotten to pack the NEW charger.) My daughter called numerous NYC Audiologists and luckily found CHHNY. Dr Ike Iheagwara agreed to see me and scheduled an appt for me the following morning. What a wonderful meeting! Dr. Ike not only lent me two HA's and a charger to use during my three day visit, but recommended the new Nexia Micro RIC Aids over my two week old BTE Aids. (These RIC aids were a major improvement over my new BTE Aids.) As soon as I returned home, I contacted my regular audiologist and requested swapping my new BTE aids that I had purchased in CT for the RIC aids that Dr. Iheagwara had recommended and loaned to me. My new aids arrived the following week and I love them! Such a major improvement in all my 30 years of hearing loss. I often feel intimidated in NYC, but this situation certainly supports the great passion and love that so many hold for this city. Imagine finding such a wonderful person and company in NYC. Thank You Dr. Ike for all of your help, generosity, kindness and recommendation. I wish you were here in CT! Thank You Again, Vickie C

Went to urgent care with tremendous ear pain. They tried removing built up ear wax for 30 minutes before they gave up and left me with very sore ears. The pain worsened but thankfully I found The Center for Healthy Hearing. Dr. Ike was able to get me an appointment in no time (even BEFORE he normally opens to help me). He was kind and informative, explaining the reasons for wax buildup and the solutions! He removed the wax in no time and it felt like I was hearing colors. I had a wonderful experience with The Center for Healthy Hearing. Thanks so much Dr. Ike! :)

Literally the best experience I've ever had with getting an ear issue fixed. I had spent a week with pharmaceutical solutions and even going to Urgent Care and no one could help me, Dr. Ike literally resolved my issue in under a minute and was very thorough in explaining to me what was going on and how to take care of myself moving forward. Honestly the best experience I have ever had with an ear issue. I had compromised hearing that Urgent Care and pharmaceutical solutions could not a fix (after a week of trying) and finally went to go see Dr. Ike after seeing how many great reviews he had and he literally was able to do what no one else could and fixed my issue in literal seconds. Literally the best. Also kind, professional, and very thorough in explaining to you what's going on and what to keep in mind. Highly highly recommend

Dr Ike was amazing. I had been struggling with getting an ear cleaning appointment at my physicians and he was able to book me within 24 hours and help me. He was courteous, professional, and helped me to understand what was going on with my ears and provided a solution. I HIGHLY recommend this location, specially Dr Ike!!

I found this office through a tiktok recommendation and contacted the office to make an appointment. Emailing back and forth was really simple and straight to the point. The day of the appointment I explained to Dr.Ike the issues I was having and he showed me what inside of my ears before and after irrigation. He explained the process and answered any questions I had. The appointment started on time and was smooth. I would come back again. Great experience.

Dr. Ike was kind enough to wait for me until 630PM after I experienced clogged ears that would not go away for 2 weeks from scuba diving - which were NOT, as he explained and SHOWED me. due to ear wax (which I thought was the problem) or a misdiagnosed ear infection from an urgent care MD. My clogged ears were from water stuck behind my ear drum! Dr. Ike explained the situation to me, told me the TRUTH. and was very informative and extremely professional. Explained my next steps thoroughly to CORRECTLY fix my problem I highly recommend seeing him FIRST with any ear problems, vs. an urgent care MD or any GP who doesn't specialize in ears. You'll be happy you did and didn't waste your time!
