List of Center For Human Reproduction's Reviews
Having met Dr. Gleicher for the first time today, I immediately felt at ease with his clear and thorough explanation of my case and individual circumstances. I was impressed that he was already familiar with the fertility clinic I had previously used, which had recently made headlines for its questionable practices. I would confidently recommend the Center for Human Reproduction. Dr. Gleicher and his team are exceptionally professional and deeply knowledgeable, dedicated to helping women achieve their fertility goals.
Not to be trusted. This is a dishonest business that will try to squeeze money out of you. It's expensive enough to try IVF, but CHR tried to hit me with an almost $2000 fee for "sperm storage" out of the blue, two years after we stopped doing business with them. When I was working with them, I thought their customer service was poor and didn't think much of their medical care. But, I thought, at least my business with them was done. Suddenly, after TWO YEARS of silence from them, I get an email marked "URGENT!!" and a phone call from a sketchy number demanding I pay almost $2000. I thought it was a scam, but it looks like it was indeed from this crooked company. Please do yourselves a favor and stay away. Once you start dealing with them, they will try to squeeze money out of you any way they can, even years after the fact.
This business is dishonest and will try to squeeze money out of you. I got my sperm tested two years ago for a surrogacy that didn't work out. Two years later, out of the blue--with not a single word from them in the interim--these crooks try to hit me with a $1650 bill for "sperm storage." They shouldn't even be in business, and you certainly shouldn't trust them with something as important as your family planning.
We are having a very nice experience at Center For Human Reproduction and appreciate the thoughtfulness of the doctors and staff.
CHR in New York has a passionate and knowledgeable team, especially Dr. David and Dr. Norbert, who are truly committed to helping patients with complex fertility cases. They are honest and realistic. One IVF cycle may not be enough, and there are no guaranteed quick fixes. The care is excellent across the board, and nurses like Sonia and Maria go above and beyond to make you feel supported and cared for. It is important to know that treatment can be expensive if you do not have health insurance, but if you're looking for a dedicated and experienced team, CHR is a strong choice.
excellent experience and fast efficient service
Doctors are great, billing department is terrible!
Dr Barad and his team have been super supportive and very friendly and professional at the same time. I would always recommend Center of human reproduction to anyone who wants to conceive. Let me tell you this flew all the way dallas to NY and it was worth it.
Stay far away from this place. I never thought that I would ever write a doctor a bad review, but here we are. The staff and the coffee machine deserve a positive review but the doctors here are awful. We initially sat down with Dr. Gleicher and he told us what he likely tells most of his patients, that my wife should take DHEA and we'll have success. He barely glanced at her file. He said that she's young and this is an easy case for him. My wife had a past episode of OHSS, to which he assured her would not be an issue as he had not had a case of OHSS in many years. Once we agreed to proceed and made a payment, we never saw him again, as we were transferred to Dr. Barad. My wife was then put on several medications and DHEA, and she then suffered from OHSS and felt horrible for weeks. Right after the egg retrieval, my wife had excessive bleeding. They weren't able to give her an IV for hydration, as the anesthesiologist had left for the day. Apparently his golf was more important than her health. The embryologist was completely unaware that the sperm was from a Micro-TESE procedure, so she had the eggs sitting for hours while she went searching for sperm. Of course, with eggs sitting there for hours, although many eggs were retrieved, they produced zero good embryos and obviously no pregnancy with the transfer. They sent a message with the results of the lack of any good embryos, without having the courtesy to even call and apologize for the mishap. This was a fabricated diagnosis of PCOS Phenotype D by Dr. Gleicher, which even Dr. Barad disagreed with and discontinued the DHEA. Instead, missing the directive of making sure that the embryology department was aware of what type of sperm that they are dealing with is incredible considering that these doctors supposedly have all these years of experience. If you're thinking of going here, think again, as you'll be extremely disappointed with the results. There is even more that I can say but this is a public forum. Don't trust their Google reviews as they delete the bad ones.
When considering IVF, you want to be in the best hands — and that’s exactly what I found at CHR. Dr. Norbert Gleicher isn’t just one of the most respected fertility specialists in the world; he runs a private clinic that pairs world-class expertise with white-glove service. From the moment I walked in, I felt truly seen, heard, and cared for. My IVF journey at CHR was the most loving, intimate, and professional medical experience I’ve ever had. Every detail was handled with thoughtfulness and compassion. It wasn’t just a procedure — it was a deeply personal and empowering experience. I left CHR with more than just a successful outcome — I left with another family: my baby daughter and the incredible CHR team. I will forever be grateful for the care, expertise, and unwavering professionalism that guided me through every step. Dr. Gleicher and Dr. Barad are unique in their approach. They don’t follow marketing trends or standard protocols blindly. They bring their own evidence-based perspectives and truly understand what they’re doing — and why.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
