Charles Maltz's Online Review Report Card

He asked, "Why are you here?" An odd question since I made an appointment for a gastroenterologist as instructed by my gynecologist. I told him that I had a ColoGuard like four or five years ago - have lost count due to the pandemic and I was unable to access preventative healthcare. He asked if I wanted ColoGuard again. I said I would as it was an easy test and I have no cancer in my family. He then informed me that he 'didn't do ColoGuard'. He only did colonoscopies and I needed to go find myself a general practitioner in six months, one year, two years, five years, whatever. There was no hurry even though I know that this is inaccurate given my age. I asked him if he would please call in a prescription for the ColoGuard as so many years had passed and he refused as it wasn't "what he did". I was confused as he is a gastroenterologist and, by definition, I understand that includes the colon and cancer screening. Unfortunately, unless you are going in for a colonoscopy, any other form of preventive care for cancer is below him. I am guessing this is some sort of medical classism. They won't call in a prescription for cancer screening if it is 'below them'. He was done with me if I was not going to sign up for a colonoscopy. He wasn't even going to refer me to another doctor. I could go out there and look for one, no hurry, six months to five years, or whatever. His elitism was more important than my health and my day. Let's review. The copay was $25. The train was $24. The Uber was $32. The cab back to the train station was $20. All the hours I spent getting to and from the appointment were irrelevant as he only does one kind of cancer screening, and if you aren't signing up, you are kicked to the curb.

This physician who doesn’t perform advanced endoscopy works for lawyers and gets paid big money to act as an expert when he is not. He dedicates himself to help lawyers sue other doctors in other states. He lies about his expertise so he can make money suing good doctors. Terrible human being. He is being reported to the New York department of health.

Very good did appointment and it felt like he was in a rush. I spoke to him about a deeply personal physical pain I was experiencing, and he could really only ask me why I was coming to see him versus the doctor I had seen 3 years ago. Once i impressed upon him I was looking for first available only then we could speak. Not a fan

Almost 2 decades my whole family has been under his care, he simply is the best doctor of all we see in other fields. He detects symptoms like cancer in other areas and refers to that department for surgeries, liver , breast, etc. definitely sacred doctor of saving lives for warning us preventive major

Dr. Charles Maltz is a precise and well-rounded doctor. After having an appointment with him, as a patient, you will feel relieved and have all your concerns answered.

Saw him for gastric episodes vomiting,abdominal pain, constipation for more than 14 days. He never give me a clue as to what was wrong. Apps 3mths apart even if I had a severe episode. 3 Dr's requested colonoscopy and endoscopy but he refuse to do it he said we're going to pray episode's stop. He also refused to listen to my constipation problems. Even when I said my chart says I am over due for a colonoscopy he smirked and said just because it say to do it doesn't mean we have to do it. This went on for two years, I finally went to another doctor. Had both procedures done to find out I had stomach nodule, severe case of h pylori, and colon polyps. I intend to report this doctor. Do not go to him unless you want prayers in place of medicine.

Very friendly and informative

I had a zoom meeting with Dr. Maltz. It ran on time and he listened carefully to what I said and now I'm already scheduled for an endoscopy and colonoscopy. He was very nice and he addressed all my questions and concerns.
