I filled out an online form for laser surgery screening at Cornell Weill and was directed to Dr Starr for an appointment. A few days before the appointment an office person called and said simply - "you are too old for this" and the office cancelled the appointment. The intake form asked for my DOB so my age was not new information - I called Cornell Weill and asked if there were an age limit on the process and was told it was a "per practice" decision. I then asked for age appropriate eye checks that I should be having as a 58 yr old male... Instead of help I got fake corporate apology language and no good info. Very alienating process.

Long wait. Wrong prescription for glasses. Never returned my calls after four times. Eye glass store noticed error.

This Dr does not care. I went for an exam and told them I get sick from dilation. They said I had to be dilated to see the Dr..They asked no questions. I got very sick from diation naseau headache flu like symptoms..This office does not care about patients well being It turns out I was diagnosed with a condition which would contraindicate dilation I thought dr took an oath to do no harm. This Dr is the opposite. Worst experience

I went to see Dr Starr . Absolutely horrible experience. I told them I get sick from dilation. His office ignored me. They dilated my eyes. I was very dick nauseous, headache etc. you know the motto do no harm this dr is the opposite. I told his office 6 times I get sick from dilation. They ignored meand told me it was part of the exam. So if you want a dr who does not listen or care this is your man. Worst eye dr experience everfyi it turns out was diagnosed with a condition where I would get sick from dilation maybe if this office cared they might have asked some questions

Dr.Starrs office called me to schedule an appt. and we made one for the following week. I arrived at 7:30 am to hear from them that they had no record of an appt. ( 3 hours on the LIE the night before to get there on time) the staff asked me to sit down for a few minutes to sort it out, after 15 they said they had to wait for a supervisor to come in at 8:00 at 8:15 I asked if she was coming... I showed my phone log of the call from their office they wanted to find out who made the mistake, but it would not lead my getting an appt. I dont know if Dr.Starr is good or not, but his office staff is a mess, rude, non communicative and incompetent.

I am very grateful for the care and surgical results provided by Dr. Starr. Eye surgery is a stressful prospect under any circumstances, but the quality of care received was excellent and the results have been excellent.

Dr. Starr is a very kind, knowledgeable, and professional doctor. I’m extremely pleased with the end-result of my cataract surgery.

Dr. Starr is an excellent surgeon. I recently had my second cataract surgery during Covid and the experience was surprisingly reassuring with many protocols and well trained staff. I highly recommend Dr. Starr and his team.
