Shua is an absolutely phenomenal Accupuncturist. I had traveled to New York from San Francisco. I was having excruciating pain walking so much so that I almost canceled my trip. I was able to see her the next day after I landed in NYC. I have had Accupuncture for years for over 15 years, but I’ve never had anyone as incredible as Shua. Here approach and her ability to tune into my needs were incredible. She relieved my pain and restored my ability to walk the streets of New York. Deep gratitude.

I visited Dr. Kim nearly every day during my IVF trial, and my treatment was successful – 18 eggs were retrieved! From the start, I knew I was in good hands because of her deep expertise in childbirth and pregnancy. She even mentioned that she had helped many patients through their pregnancy journeys and had pursued further study in this area on her own time. What I appreciated most was her personalized care, which was tailored to my condition each day, especially since IVF treatments can be quite taxing on a woman's body. She also performed moxibustion—a technique that warms the body during treatment—to further support my process. I’m so grateful that I met Dr. Kim during this period and truly appreciate the excellent results she helped me achieve. Even after my successful embryo freezing, I continue to see her for back pain, migraines, and other concerns, and she has been wonderful every time. Highly recommended!

I can't recommend Dr. Shua Kim enough!!!! I've been going to her on a regular basis for almost a year now for several issues: chronic muscle pain, skin conditions (rashes), and generalized stress & anxiety. She has a superb and intuitive ability to palpate and target the exact points on the body as well as an expert knowledge of TCM and connected systems in the body. Her warm, caring and compassionate nature makes the sessions so much more nourishing. She goes above and beyond in her care. Offering a wide range from acupuncture, moxibustion, herbal medicine and more. She is an INCREDIBLE acupuncturist!!

I often don’t post reviews, but wanted to do so for Dr Shua Kim since I have greatly benefitted from her acupuncture treatments for several year. Dr Kim is a wonderfully talented and intuitive acupuncturist who I initially found about 3 years ago while I was suffering from vertigo and regular nausea bouts which were interrupting my personal and work life. With regular visits, these episodes were curtailed within several months and I was again able to practice yoga, go out with friends ( and not canceling at the last minute due to a dizzy episode) and be present in work and life. I have continued treating with acupuncture with Dr Kim for other systems like stress, and to address the back and neck pains that come with working long hours in front of a computer. I have watched Dr Kim hone her craft ( I call it a talent) and I often don’t even need to say exactly where it hurts since she is able to find the exact point of stagnation and has me feeling better within 20 minutes of the appointment. Since then, I have benefitted from Dr Kim’s acupuncture facials and guasha treatments which appeal to my desire to age gracefully and without Botox and filler. In sum, Dr Kim is kind and caring, her treatment space is cozy and comforting and the location and hours are convenient ( not far from Macys). I really consider Dr Kim’s treatment top notch and I am committed to keeping acupuncture as part of my long term wellness practices! I recommended Dr Kim with much gratitude and appreciation !

this is a long overdue review for Dr. Kim. I have seen her for variety of issues since she begins her practice, from wrist issue (stenosingtenosynovitis) to palpitation, and most current thing is heart burnt and indigestion. Though heart burn has bothered me for many years yet I didn't know acupuncture could be so powerful in treating/controlling GI symptoms. You have to give it sometimes for the needle works officially kick in. We started in the mid of December for weekly GI target treatment, two months in and I now start seeing/feeling the affect. She checks your pulse and exams your tongue at each visit, and adjusts the treatment plan according to those findings. As a patient, I do also pay attention to diet and avoid those NOs (in terms of food and beverage). I can now ditch the PPIs while maintain bloating, burping free! for GI problems, though two months sound like a long time, yet I know to fully control and recover from those long term issues will take more time. It is now just the beginning and I know I am in good hand, because Dr. Kim cares about her patients. Hope this helps.

Shua is a tremendous acupuncturist. She has helped me with back and other issues. She is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I feel energized when I leave and the feeling lasts. I highly recommend.

I meet with Dr. Shua for back and hip pain. Before my initial visit, I was dealing with over 6 months of chronic back pain that physical therapy could not help. Within 10 sessions with Dr. Shua, my pain went from constant to occasional. I lean on Dr. Shua to help me with my continued recovery and I am very glad I found her.

Shua has DRASTICALLY improved mobility of my neck, back and hips. I was walking around with multiple knots and stiffness in my joints due to unresolved tension. She is a great listener and has excellent knowledge of the body. After a few weeks I saw less and less pain and more flexibility then I thought I could have.
