List of Constantine A. Demetracopoulos's Reviews
I went to Dr. Demetracopoulos to consult and hopefully schedule corrective surgery for a failed peroneal tendon repair a year ago back home. From the start, he showed a lack of professionalism by neglecting common courtesies. His tone and line of questioning about my symptoms seemed arrogant, superficial and disinterested. He was totally unprepared for the consultation. Although I sent exhibits such as radiology studies and the operative report, he had no knowledge that I had provided them. When we prompted him to check my records, he only found the pre-op MRI and indirectly called us liars for stating that a more recent one had also been in the package I sent. I offered to provide a copy on the spot, from my laptop, but he simply questioned why we were getting upset “about this”. Hmmm, let’s see… I provided everything requested; we traveled 14 hours; he was completely unprepared; his attitude was arrogant, dismissive and accusatory? Yeah, we were indeed upset; I ended the session.
I have 2 TAR one in each leg and he did them both and gave me my life back. I wouldn't even think about seeing another doctor for my ankles. Since my second tar in May of 2018, I move to Los Angeles. However I still use Doctor D for my ankles and will until I no longer breath. There are many good doctors, but Dr. Demetracopoulos is the best ankle surgeon in the USA.
My daughter has been suffering with ankle pain for more than 4 years. I have been to numerous doctors to figure out what was going on. Dr. D figured out what was wrong with my daughter. He is so knowledgeable, sweet and confident in what he does. So thankful we found him!
Transferred from referral department in the hospital to this doctor's office to make an appointment early this year for a condition that he specializes in. I was abruptly and vigorously questioned on my condition and why I wanted to be evaluated by this doctor, by a nasty receptionist who hung up on me. I complained more than once to two separate people and offices and they just don't care. Not sure if the doctor was ever even informed. Patient advocate office is terrible at this hospital. They are on the side of the hospital staff and dont' care about patients.
Called the office to make an appointment and someone hung up on me after arguing with me. Tried to make a complaint to the hospital and it was clear I was not believed and they obviously forced me to share the blame in this incident.
Great Doctor great person great staff just all around greatness what more can you ask for.
Best DR ever. His staff is very knowledgeable and Dr. D has amazing bed side manners. He thoroughly assess you and in my opinion the only DR that understands my foot & ankle pain. I travel from Brooklyn just to see him because its worth it.
I agree with another reviewer, Dr. Demetracopoulos deserves 10 Stars. He is an amazing Orthopedic Surgeon with an incredible staff. His calm confident demeanor helped me focus on the right decision I needed to make for my ankle surgery. Kind, compassionate, professional and brilliant are great qualities to have in a surgeon. He is truly one of the best!
I should be able to give him 10 stars because he did 2 ankle replacements and they both are GREAT so 10 stars for Dr. D he is the best ankle surgeon out there.
When I started the journey to ankle replacement, I sent a email to friends who were in the medical device field. I asked for a list of the best surgeons doing ankle replacement surgery. They all came back with one name. Dr. D. He does about 120 a year. He is skilled and qualified. The entire process went just as he described. I am about 2 months out from the surgery. I am wearing a temporary boot and have no pain and just a bit of swelling that I am working on in physical therapy. Happy I had the surgery; happier still that Dr. D did it. Great hospital with a caring staff led by a great doctor. Kudos.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
