Very kind n understanding. I was confident before my surgery because of Dr. Bakes Feeling great.
Dr Bakes promised a nearly painless procedure. But it resulted in the worst pain I ever expected. Just [prior to going in the OR she had me sign a consent form which gave her the power to do surgery which was never discussed. Any other doctor would have informed me of this possibility. It's taken me a month so far to recover.
A wolf in sheep’s clothing. Don’t be mislead by what may appear as a friendly bedside manor. This doctor is not to be trusted. She lured me into the OR with the promise a pain free procedure only to do surgery she knew I would oppose. She did so by rushing me to sign a consent form on an ipad like device just before I entered the OR. She generated thousands of dollars while I had a month of being incapacitated. When I met with her, she played the victim card because I filed a complaint. No remorse. No empathy. Patients are nothing more than a revenue source. There are far better choices; Dr. Grucela of Yorktown, NY and Dr. Yee of White Plains, NY.

I have a very complicated colorectal history and was seen as an emergency. My first appointment should have been my first clue when she cut me off and told me she had another patient instead of taking the time to explain things. She did a colonoscopy and PERFORATED my bowel, allowing air and e coli to fill my abdomen causing a huge ecoli infection. I was rolled out of the colonoscopy looking 12 months pregnant and she took off leaving me in recovery in immense pain, where I was told "no other dr would touch me" and she was in surgery. I have a colostomy and she flat out LIED to me saying she found a mysterious "hole" in my intestines that allowed the air and ecoli to escape into my abdomen. I went for a 2nd opinion and that "hole" is actually part of my ostomy, and yet she, a colorectal surgeon, didn't know that? On 2nd opinion I was diagnosed with the perforation. She lied to cover her tracks. She is the most inept, shadiest, DISHONEST, doctor. This incident took literally 4 months to resolve. IF YOU WANT EXCELLENT HEALTHCARE DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR!!!! If I wasn't so sick I would sue her. Perforations can happen, but to actually LIE! Immoral.
Dr. Bakes listened and answer all my questions, my appointment did not feel rushed, and she explained my condition well. Friendly environment, trustworthy doctor, highly recommend!
Dr Bakes is intelligent, patient and caring. She is friendly and professional with a calming demeanor that inspires confidence. The office visit and examination were thorough and not at all rushed. She gave clear explanations pre-op and post-op. She answered emails right away, too!
Waiting an hour to be seen so far.....
I would never hesitate to recommend Dr. Bakes. She is number one in my book and has done an excellent job of surgery. And Dr. Bakes' staff are excellent too. Three cheers and Bottoms up ! From Craig

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
