If you can get past the rude front desk receptionist, everyone else is very nice and friendly. It’s unfortunate that they keep her as the “face” of their business. That’s what most of their 1-star reviews are about! She speaks in such a condescending tone and acts like she’s doing you a favor by setting up an appointment. Very unfortunate for them because this is a competitive business and clients have many other options in the city.

Really enjoy coming to the office. They are very knowledgeable and straightforward with what needs to be addressed. Will continue coming here

PA Janelle S has helped me over the last few years with various skin issues from anti aging questions, to Botox, minor acne flair ups, etc., as well as removal of abnormal moles. With absolute confidence I can give assurance that whatever condition you would go to her for, you'd get the best and most appropriate care. Wouldn't consider seeing anyone else for anything derm related.

I have been seeing Janelle for almost a year now for a chronic skin condition that I dont want to say exactly what it is. I suffered for years dealing with my skin and I used to wear long sleeves and pants in the summers just to hide my skin condition. When I first started coming here for Dermatology, she told me that she could get me better but I had to trust the process. I am so glad that I did, and now I am wearing short sleeves even in the winter because I am just so happy with my skin!!! I am so glad that I trusted Janelle Santarsiero with my skin and I will recommend that my friends get treated here too

PA Erin Melley is just the best. Kind and respectful and so knowledgeable. Just wanted to give her a shout out! Nurses were fabulous too :)

This is the first dermatology office I have been to that does not throw a prescription at you and send you out. They take the time to talk about other skincare you can do and have helped me with just taking care of my skin better. All of my questions were thoroughly answered by Janelle and the staff were very friendly and knowledgable

i have been going to this office and seeing Janelle for a few years for skin cancer screenings and for my acne and scalp problems. i have consistently been seen on time and my exams are always thorough. my face and scalp are now the best they have ever been! i love that i can do a televisit for refills as well. in my experience this is a great dermatology office for all your skin and scalp needs!!!

I had an incredibly disappointing and upsetting experience during my visit yesterday. From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff was rude, unwelcoming, and dismissive—definitely not the environment anyone should encounter at a medical office. Once I was taken to the exam room, the practice assistant asked me a few basic questions. A few minutes later, she returned with another woman who never introduced herself or explained her role. She glanced at my scalp for literally 2 seconds and simply told me to continue using Minoxidil—something I had already finished. I explained that if I only needed a prescription, I could have asked my primary doctor instead of wasting my time and money coming in. Her response was cold and completely lacking empathy. When I asked if bloodwork could be done to explore the cause of my excessive hair shedding, she dismissed it with an attitude that made it clear she had no interest in helping. Later, two other staff members entered to do the blood draw. One of them appeared to be in training, visibly nervous, and practicing on me without my knowledge or consent. This made me feel extremely uncomfortable and anxious. After the appointment, I asked who the doctor was that I was supposed to see, and only then was I told it was Janelle Santarsiero. At no point did she introduce herself or show even the most basic professionalism or concern for my issue. To make things worse, when I left, I asked for the office's QR code or a way to leave a review regarding my visit. My request was denied. I followed up with Mandy at the front desk, who initially said she’d send it by the end of the day—but never did. When I called back the next day, she said she was not able to provide it. This felt like a direct attempt to silence patient feedback. Overall, I left feeling disrespected, unheard, and mistreated. The attitude and lack of care from nearly every staff member I encountered was shocking. I have been seeing Jody Levine for around a year and a half, went in with horrible cystic acne (after multiple failed attempts to fix it with other dermatologists) and she was MAGIC! Got prescribed 3 meds and my skin was clear in around two months! Incredible! I was in constant pain before and she really helped me. Still going strong almost two years later! Skins great, she remains helpful and easy to reach and their partnership with Upper East Side Apothecary makes getting the meds cheap and easy. Truly a star of the dermatology field
