I waited to have a few treatments to give my review and now I can confidently say this has been excellent. I initially purchased a Groupon for clear and brilliant but ended up getting two additional Vbeam treatments. Garland Lee is the kindest, talking you through every step and ensuring you are informed and comfortable. I appreciated her approach with the lasers and less is more approach. Recovery was a breeze with only that initial day having redness and swelling which quickly resolved. I saw noticeable changes after all the treatments and especially with the subsequent Vbeam for my face redness especially in the midface/around the nose area. I went for a facial today and the esthetician was blown away by how much it had improved. I feel like I can leave the house without any makeup which has never been the case. In addition to Garland the staff has been great from front desk to the assistants (sorry not sure if this is the correct title) who get you set up in the room and post care.

Save your skin, save your peace. We bought a package of 2 laser treatments along with a few other treatments we were told needed to be done before the laser. We were explicitly told that the pre-purchased treatments would not expire, a concern because each treatment had a recovery period and my work schedule would make that difficult. We signed a receipt that ended up detailing different terms, but we did not know it at them time because they were reassuring us so well and this package wasn't something they normally offered. When I was finally able to get to the second round of treatments, I was told by the office manager that they had expired (!) and was repeatedly harassed and gaslit when pleading my case. For example she said, forcefully, "who told you that they didn't expire? no one here would ever tell you that!" when we have two witnesses that heard it and the practitioner herself admitted that it might have been her, acknowledging that the mistake was on the practice, not us. They honored 1 out of 2 treatments, yet we will never go back. Why? Because not only did they do a bait and switch (persuading us verbally to pre-pay with terms they did not fulfill), TRUST matters when it comes to sensitive facial treatments. The way we were treated when it was clearly a miscommunication on their end was abhorrent and I would encourage anyone considering this practice to go with a provider that is kinder and honest to their patients.

After months of struggling with my baby’s eczema and trying countless treatments with no improvement, we finally found Dr. Lee. From the very first visit, she listened carefully, asked thoughtful questions, and created a treatment plan that was both effective and gentle for my baby’s sensitive skin. Within weeks, we saw an incredible difference—my baby’s eczema started to clear for the first time, and he is now comfortable and happy again.

While I did receive very helpful medication for eczema I was then rescheduled for a second appointment I never set up, got threatened with a cancellation fee of $50 and then back charged about $450 for my previous visit (covered by insurance) from two months ago.

I've been going to them for multiple years now and Dr Lee is great--efficient, kind and always ready to help get me what I need. The office is easy to call with questions and scheduling and the ladies are very professional. Would recommend to anyone looking for a reliable dermatologist in nyc.

My recent V-Beam appointment with PA Garland Lee left me feeling unheard and somewhat cheated. The session was incredibly rushed and seemed geared towards securing a follow-up visit despite my explicit mention that I could only afford ONE treatment. First, I repeatedly emphasized that I could only afford a single treatment session. Yet, PA Lee inexplicably used different settings on each half of my face, ostensibly to "see which I responded better to" for use in a FUTURE session. This approach completely undermined my request for maximized results in one sitting and treated me as a test subject. It was bizarre and INCREDIBLY frustrating. Numerous spots with less prominent hyperpigmentation were overlooked. In addition, despite my clear communication that I was comfortable with bruising and desired higher (while still clinically appropriate) settings to maximize efficacy, these darker areas received no intensified treatment. My questions about a bruising setting were completely brushed off (and no bruising setting was used). Finally, the assistant upsold me an additional $100 to treat my forehead, citing several red spots. However, PA Lee later stated my forehead had "barely any spots," requiring me to convince HER to laser a few spots (taking maybe twenty seconds maximum) after I had already paid $100 for the upgrade. I am incredibly frustrated. The session failed to maximize the potential of a single treatment, missing crucial areas and ignoring my expressed preferences for aggressive, comprehensive coverage. This experience has left me feeling as though I am now forced to schedule a second appointment — that I cannot afford — just to achieve some of the results that could have been delivered in the first.
