Donald Vincent Belsito's Online Review Report Card

I went to see him because I was having a severe allergic reaction and needed patch testing. i waited one hour for the appointment and he spent 2 minutes with me. Had no interest in my situation and couldn't get out of the room fast enough. I had patch testing performed many of which were positive and when I asked how I could deal with this I was referred to a website. Horrible experience. so unhelpful. I will seek out another dermatologist who is interested in patients.

My mother is a patient is Dr. Belsito. She, actually we love his bedside manner and his professionalism. He went above and beyond and diagnosed my mom with a condition that primary doctors missed- who does that!!! what an amazing feat! My mom really enjoys seeing him for her appointment. He is one of a kind.

Tightly run office, was seen right away and all staff was attentive. Dr. Belsito took his time to address my issues and explain the situation in a direct manner that I appreciate from my doctors. Recommend!

I wish I had read the reviews before seeing Dr. Belsito for some skin issues after having partial knee replacement surgery. His bedside manner immediately made me feel uncomfortable. He then ordered an invasive round of patch testing, ignoring my medical history and, not surprisingly (given that history), it caused a systemic flare. Dr. Belsito didn't provide any after-care, leaving me to languish in full body hives and itching. Even after my surgeon told me I needed to be put on steroids "immediately," Dr. Belsito was difficult to get a hold of and hostile when I finally spoke to him. Dr. Belsito saw me multiple times for the patch testing, but refused to prescribe the medication unless I came in for another office visit, which he couldn't schedule until the following week. At that point, the flare was so bad that I needed to go to the hospital but, fortunately, I avoided that by finding another dermatologist who called in the RX. I later discovered the patch testing was totally unnecessary (and inaccurate in determining allergies to a metal implant inside the body). I had a simple LTT blood test (NOT done with Dr. Belsito), which gave me much more accurate results. Dr. Belsito refused to discuss the results of the blood test with me, unable to acknowledge new data and how it might color the results of the work he did.

Personable, thorough and knowledgable. Able to briefly and accurately describe my issues as well as answer questions in a straightforward manner. Would surely be likely to recommend him.

Dr. Belsito is a wonderfully caring doctor. He pays attention to details and takes time to answer all my questions. It makes me feel that I am in his great professional hand and will be on a steady path to full recovery.

Very thorough and competent, personable. Was seen right on time, minimal waiting.
