Duet Care is an exceptional organization. I have had the privilege of working as a companion with Duet Care for the past two and a half years, and it has been an enriching experience. They match companions with clients based on shared interests and hobbies, ensuring that the time spent together is enjoyable and fulfilling for both parties. It's fascinating how our work tends to fulfill a personal need. I appreciate the company's understanding and support for a healthy work-life balance. They recognize that their companions have other jobs and commitments, and they are mindful of providing opportunities for time off. The dedication and compassion exhibited by co-worker companions I've worked with have been stellar. We share a common devotion to our clients, striving to provide companionship and a sense of purpose and joy in their lives. The administrative team deserves special recognition for their unwavering support and responsiveness. They are always available to address questions or concerns with practicality and compassion. Beyond the professional aspects, my experience with Duet Care has been transformative. Working with clients has inspired me to incorporate accessibility-driven designs into my work, ensuring that my creations are inclusive and user-friendly for individuals of all abilities. We've been using Duet for the last few months for my mother and it's been a wonderful experience. We started with live-in home health care aides when she needed a lot of assistance, and have moved onto companion care now that she's more independent but still needs help around the house, running errands, etc. I was able to interview the companion candidates (remotely--I'm out of state) to ensure they were a good fit. My mom now has two super friendly and kind young women who trade off supporting her during the week. She is so at ease with them. I was talking to her today and she randomly started singing "You're So Vain" and I could hear her companion singing along with her! Honestly I can't say enough good things about this company. The professionalism and personalized care starts right at the top with Larisa and is embodied by every person in the company I've engaged with. I feel like there's this amazing team in place looking after my mom, which is very reassuring since unfortunately I live on the other side of the country.

Duet has been very thorough and thoughtful as my siblings and I were looking for a companion for my mother. They provided several options based on the type of person we were looking for and all of them met or exceeded expectations. In addition, the team at Duet is quick to respond to emails and can easily be reached by phone. I would highly recommend working with Duet.

Wow. I am so incredibly grateful to have found Duet. From my very first phone call, it was clear that Duet was different from any of the similar services we’d worked with in the past. No phone trees and voicemail—someone picked up the phone and immediately transferred me to the fantastic Larisa, who really took the time to understand our needs. We started with live-in home health care aides to assist my mother with showering, dressing, etc. following a brief hospital stay and a couple months of rehab. Both of those aides took great pride in their work–it was important to them that my mom was well taken care of. Now my mother has switched to 9am-5pm companion-level aides. They’ve helped organize her closets, take her to interesting local events, accompany her to doctor’s appointments and more. On the administrative side, Larisa and her staff are highly communicative and honest and easily accessible. (And they take my mother’s long-term care insurance.) If you’re looking for excellent care for your loved ones with a professional, transparent company, you cannot do better than Duet.

I have been working with Duet for over a year now, and they have seamlessly transitioned my mother from companion care to home health aid care when her needs progressed. Larissa, the director, is always available to help when needed and the rest of the staff have been so great during this tough time. My mother's home health aid is wonderful to work with, and makes my mom laugh in addition to providing care, which is all we can ask for. Thanks Duet! You have made an extremely tough situation manageable. It takes a village.

Working with Duet to hire a caregiver for my mother changed my life, not to mention my mom's quality of life. From the first conversation Larisa Polansky, the director of Duet, made me feel seen and heard and helped me to approach care for my mother with kindness and patience, making me feel confident and calm during both the hiring process and the transition into care. She made sure she and her team were always available, and paired my mom with a wonderful companion, Jenny. Jenny was the perfect fit for my mom, well traveled, well spoken, patient, smart, kind, and it felt natural to have her in our home. She made the process of my mom accepting that she needed care much easier because my mom likes her so much. She took some of the pressure and responsibility off of me because I trusted her. We moved to California so sadly we had to say goodbye to Jenny for now, but if we could have taken her and the whole Duet team with us, we would have!
