Duretti Fufa's Online Review Report Card

I saw doctor Fufa for my elbow. She was great. I mean she explained what are my options very thoroughly include the pros and cons of a surgery. She didn’t rush me and took her time explaining all the little details which I was very surprised and happy about. Previous doctor’s have one foot out to door as they speak to you to make the dash ASAP. I’ll definitely go back to her when I’m ready for surgery.

Do Not See this Physician !!!I had the worst surgical experience of a lifetime and my hand has never been the same. Unfortunately she could care less once it’s over and you are out of the hospital. I asked before surgery all the worst case scenarios and she didn’t discuss a single one that I have experienced. I have lost hand strength and constant elbow pain. When I called for follow up visits she doesn’t want you to come to the office. Only done virtually. I was told she only will see patients on a emergency basis!!!. How can you have a post op surgery and not see the doctor for follow up care in person??!! From the second day when my hand was numb after surgery and the office sent me to post op care at the hospital she still was not involved and essentially she could not care less!!.I never met a doctors so arrogant and un- caring. After surgery I had to request PT or they wouldn’t even have recommended it for rehab!!Whatever you do NEVER let her operate on you. You will regret it for a lifetime.This was my families 4th experience at HSS and I can’t believe how horrible the experience was compared to other visits for me and members of my family. She should not be allowed to be part of the HSS family of doctors. You think by going there you will be getting the best doctors and care but unfortunately she doesn’t care and she will butcher you.

I want to first say I have been to HSS for my knee and my sons ankle, all were amazing experiences and results so I did not hesitate using a surgeon from HSS for my carpel tunnel and ulnar nerve surgery. I explained my passion was mountain biking and asked for all the possible downsides to the surgery. She DID NOT tell me there would be permanent hand weakness, elbow pain and in general possible for limited return to full strnth and mobility. At the hospital before surgery as I was being prepped she told me the pinky finger could be weak and a yeat to recover, SHE TELLS ME IN PRE OP!!!! TERRIBLE!! Well it got worse - after surgery which here office was very poor at providing post op process my hand went numb - the office told me to rush to post op care at hospital but she was not present and STILL she did not attend my post surgery visit and I had to make it an issue or they were only going to see me remote. Post op visits are impossible to get - office only want to see you remotely. This is not acceptable when your hand is weak - how can they not want to see you n person!!! Whatever you do - NEVER EVER USE DR FUFA . I think I need a malpractice law referral !!

DO NOT US THIS DOCTOR my hand and arm were never the same She has zero intention to see you ever again The follow up care is non existent and they will only do remote visits after surgery I asked what were possible down side of surgery and NONE of the post surgery pain and weakness that persists a year later were ever discussed, she just want to do the surgery - get the money from insurance and has no care of you self being, Please do not see her There are so many other good surgeons at HSS - she does not belong there

Dr. Fufa operated on me for tennis elbow. From beginning to end, my experience with her and her colleagues at HSS was exemplary. She explained clearly to me what the procedure would entail, what the likely outcome was, and what the recovery would look like. The surgery itself was as stress-free as I could have imagined; the entire team was both kind and professional. Dr. Fufa called me after surgery to make sure things were going well.. Subsequently, I took my son to her--he had been advised to have carpal tunnel surgery. After running some tests she told us she thought he did not need surgery, and advised us to wait. His arm has since healed. I really can't recommend Dr. Fufa highly enough.

She has an incompetent staff who do not understand the basics of scheduling appointments.

Dr. Fufa was awesome! She is brilliant with great bedside manner. She is the best doctor I’ve encountered in a long time.

May 20 2019 had gun accident to my finger Was told by another doctor the finger might have to be apputated. Called Dr Fufa office the staff set me up with a appointment Doctor fufa told me she could save my finger didn't need to be apputated Surgery was performed on June 9th 2019 she saved my finger Dr Fufa and her office personnel is the best

I can't speak to her expertise as a physician, but her bedside manners are beyond poor. She was condescending, curt, and indifferent. I don't think she was listening to me and simply stated, "we are going in circles." I left her office in tears, not that she cared. Her NP, Christine, could teach her some manners as she was friendly, compassionate, and professional.

Saying she has poor bedside manners is an understatement.
