Dr. Calico is an exceptional psychiatrist who demonstrates remarkable listening skills in every session. She creates a welcoming environment where patients feel truly heard and understood. What sets her apart is her ability to pick up on subtle cues and underlying concerns, even when they're not explicitly stated. Her thoughtful approach to treatment shows in how she carefully considers each patient's unique circumstances before offering guidance. She never rushes to conclusions, instead taking the time to fully understand the complexities of each situation. In my case, I only needed a consultation and didn't require any medication, which she recognized and respected. Her suggestions are always practical and tailored to individual needs.

I have been seeing Dr. Calico since 2015 and I am so lucky I found her! What makes her different is that you truly feel she is on the journey with you because she genuinely wants to be. As a life time New Yorker you are always looking for the BEST of everything and Dr. Calico is truly the best. I have been seeing her for 10 (maybe even more; I have lost track) years, mostly for med management, and she has helped me through some acute traumatic crisis. We worked on a regime till I was able to become stable and back to pre-crisis mode. Not only is Dr. Calico a terrific doctor but also a terrific human. PLUS, her office is really easy to get to. I highly recommend you give her a visit.

became a patient of Dr Calico a couple of years ago when my longtime psychiatrist retired, having then searched for an ideal fit. In every way she has met or exceeded my expectations since then. As a doctor and a person Dr Calico has an easy manner and it always shows through that she cares about her patients as people. She is easy to talk to and knowledgeable about her subject. If ever there is a need to contact her between sessions, she is quick to reply to messages.

Dr. Calico Is very nice intelligent caring doctor that seems to only want the best for hers patients success, health and mental state .Just thinking of her calm and pleasant room to spend time in gives me a comfort. Each session helped increase my awareness of my negative thinking patterns and every time she came with new tips to help me understand better how to deal with my problems and anxiety on daily basis. After just few visits I've noticed a huge difference in my ability to cope with anxiety and emotions. The conversations I had with Dr. Calico were always constructive and I felt able to measure my own progress after every session. The treatment I was prescribed solved many symptoms I used to view as untreatable: extreme impatience, overall dissatisfaction, and even some unhealthy patterns of self-judgement. For the first time in years, I feel relaxed and in control. I no longer avoid new challenges, and I participate in activities.
