List of Edward A. Athanasian's Reviews
From my initial consultation with Dr. Athanasian, his bedside manner is kind and caring.. Doctor Athanasian took the time to explain everything to me in detail.I had a very severe case of Ulnar nerve compression, a double crush. Everywhere I went my outcome and prognosis was not looking good. Fortunately I found Dr. Athanasian as I do not believe there are many doctors that would have been able to save me the way he did.You will not find a better doctor or a caring one. If you're looking for the best surgeon you've found it with Dr. Athanasian. His staff is equally kind and caring...He is master at his craft and because of him I am on the road to recovery. I now have use of my arm and hand. God Bless him.
Cannot find a better SURGEON! Very sincere, compassionate, honest, humble ,and the best in his field.
Fantastic I had a mass on my dominant hand. I am an artist and a yogi and I was nervous. His staff especially his amazing assistant, was wonderful. They put up with all my chatter and answered all my questions. The surgery was fast and all surgical staff were wonderful. I have full use of my hand and literally, you cannot see the scar three months out.
It was one year ago that I had surgery in my right index finger.Dr Athanasian and his entire staff and other team doctors at HSS...namely Dr Michael Henry and Dr Arhur Yee were the best !!Being that I am an avid boater and fisherman.. The 'A-team' diagnosed what was a rare myco-bacterium that entered my finger, probably from cleaning fish or crabs.. Go figure. It started in June 2019 and the swelling grew over summer and although skeptical, I agreed to have surgery to confirm their suspicion and remove swelling. And start an antibiotic cocktail for 5 months. My hand and my life was a mess but I am glad to say that although not 100% - (maybe 90%) my hand is better today and it could have been worse. Also a shout out to Nancy Marder at Professional hand therapy as well. Thanks for everything !
Dr. Athanasian is phenomenal. The whole experience from start to finish was seamless and could not have been a better experience. Thank you!
Couldn’t ask for a better doctor. Skilled surgeon, smart, a pleasure from start to finish.
I was referred to Dr.Athanasian in 2013 for a disease l was born with on my right hand 6 yrs.ago.He was most helpful and very understanding.l was 67 yrs.old.He wasn't a specialist with nf1,but he knew the problem l was having in my right hand.l will always be grateful for his attention and kindness and great work he did on my right hand!!!!!
I’m not someone who posts a lot of reviews but I’m so impressed with the expertise and care shown by Dr. Athanasian. When I broke my wrist in a fall, he rearranged his schedule to get me into surgery, did a fabulous job, and seamlessly connected me with follow-up services within HSS. Great doctor
Dr. Athanasian is outstanding. I first saw him in 2004 for a wrist injury from tennis and he was extremely thorough and accurate in his diagnosis and care. 15 years later I returned, even though my insurance is no longer accepted, because he has earned my trust as an exceptional doctor. He is respectful, kind and truly cares about his patients. And the office staff are extremely helpful and nice, especially Jacob.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
