List of Elevate Medical's Reviews
I've had a wonderful experience with Elevate so far! I had a consult with Dr. Park a few months ago and found her incredibly warm and knowledgeable. I felt like she listened well and understood the nuances of my situation. She is clearly well-versed in all things ketamine/Spravato/mental health and makes me feel confident in her expertise while also having a warmth and friendliness that makes me feel almost like I'm talking to an old friend. The clinic itself is open-concept, which is different than what I'm used to, but I'm a huge fan. I look forward to my sessions in large part because of the space she has created. I feel at home there and I so appreciate the materials she has available for reflection pre/post session -- books, drawing materials, snacks, etc. Very happy so far and eager to continue treatment!
Do not entrust care with Elevate Medical. The office and front desk staff are completely incompetent, unable to schedule appointments or send medication refills on time. The lack of professionalism borders on dangerous when you're dealing with medication--I've had months go by where I've been unable to get ahold of my doctor or taken weeks to schedule the requisite follow-up appointments. Considering a report to the Better Business Bureau for patient negligence: lapses of care aside, the lack of professionalism is, to echo another patient here, "blood boiling" and reliably frustrating.
I have been a patient of Dr. Park's since February 2025 and have been on various medications since 2018. After a lot of research, I looked into Spravato and found Elevate Medical's website. Within a week I had an intake appointment with Dr. Park and have been actively receiving Spravato treatment since March. Dr. Park has created a beautiful treatment center (complete with two very precious pups) in Midtown and the Spravato treatment has been life changing. I have weekly check-ins with Dr. Park to follow up on the past week having had my treatment and how my other medications are working. As of now, I have come down on my SSRI completely over the span of 3 months and am continuing to taper off medications. The great thing about being a patient of Dr. Park's, is that she understands my frustration with certain medications and is along for me exploring any available or different treatments besides the basic level of care. I feel heard and understood by Dr. Park. My personal goal was to never rule prescription medication out, but I am so thankful that Dr. Park is there to help guide me through my medicinal journey. If you are on the fence about scheduling a consult with Elevate Medical, you can take my experience as a sign to reach out. Before I had my intake with Dr. Park, Elevate Medical's Office Manager was able to verify very quickly whether my insurance was accepted, and Dr. Park was very clear and transparent about what would qualify me to receive Spravato treatment with the benefit of my insurance.
He seemed to hone in on what my issue is an offered a solution I haven't gotten before
Doctors are nice. But they often forget to refill prescriptions. Which is literally the point. Very irresponsible.
Oh my god. The receptionist is sooooo terrible and extremely inconsiderate. Considering that this place is mental health center, she makes it soo hard to even make an appointment. I called probably 5 times at this point just trying to make an appointment. You would think that if someone is persistently trying to make an appointment at a MENTAL HEALTH CENTER that it would be taken seriously. At this point I feel like she is intentionally trying to push it off so she doesn't have to do her job… At first she told me to send her my insurance via email to ensure that I am covered even though I found this office via my insurances in network office list, i was told it was too blurry so I sent it again which I understand, fine. No response so I call to read them the insurance numbers for her to process after not hearing back. I ask to make an appointment but she is still saying no? She said she will call me back, but never did. I proceed to call her back after not hearing back to try to make an appointment again. But she said she needs to make sure that they accept my insurance which I thought is what we already did a couple days ago? I ask if I can just make an appointment first to have one set while whatever she is doing is processing. She said no. I tell her I found this place from my providers list of in network offices so it should be fine, I just really need to make an appointment. She said no again accompanied by how she didn’t put in my insurance information yet (even tho we literally already did that on the phone together?) and proceeds to tell me she will call me back tomorrow and says they have openings on Monday and Tuesday but won’t let me make an appointment because she needs to check the schedule and hangs up. This is so frustrating, it shouldn’t be this hard to make a doctors appointment for my mental health.
I was a patient of Dr. Park from 2021-2022. At the time, I was unsure if my diagnosis (from 2015 with a different psychiatrist) of bipolar disorder was accurate or not but agreed to take the medication prescribed, in good faith. Around the end of June 2021, I began having severe panic attacks that quickly grew from once or twice a week to everyday, multiple times a day. At the time, I was prescribed Geodon. The panic attacks were so bad they caused me to run out of my apartment because they made me feel claustrophobic and like I needed to keep moving since every minute felt like an hour. I tried every grounding technique I knew: hot/cold showers, hot/cold baths, pacing around my living room and bedroom, aromatherapy, drink ice cold water, putting an ice cube on the back of my neck, deep breathing, I even tried the tapping method! Nothing worked! The scariest part was, as time went on, I developed a symptom called vertical/horizontal nystagmus where my eyes would kinda wobble and I felt like I had no control of where my eyes would move. At the peak of the panic attacks, it felt like they wanted to roll to the back of my head, or move all the way to the right side of my head. Eventually, I felt like my body would move involuntarily with my eye movements, too. I told Dr. Park what was going on. She prescribed Propranolol. It went up in dose. That never worked, it had the same effect as a sugar pill. Next, she prescribed Gabapentin. After a few weeks, I developed a tolerance to that. She prescribed me a 2 week script of Xanax. This was concerning for me, personally, because I have a history of substance abuse, specifically with Xanax. She knew about this. It concerned me, but I agreed because I just wanted the panic attacks to stop. I actually didn't end up abusing my 2 week script of Xanax, I was able to only use it for emergencies. This tactic stretched out my script from 2 weeks to about a month, more or less. Now, when these panic attacks began, they only lasted maybe an hour, or so. And then they'd go away. Eventually, they grew to last almost the entire night, affecting my work. At the time, I was a contact tracer for the city of New York; an already anxiety-inducing job. Towards the end of my employment, I began logging off 30 minutes - 1 hour earlier because my panic attacks (that used to start after work, typically right before bed, they were starting during work). On one occasion, I had to log out of work early and call in sick, because I was having a bad panic attack. On another occasion, my panic attack began at 7:30 pm (my clock out time was 9 pm, and I was working that day) and didn't stop until my roommate went in an Uber with me to a hospital in Brooklyn (at 1 am) and needed two emergency doses of Ativan to finally stop the panic attack. I didn't receive the emergency drugs until almost 3 am. So from 7:30 pm until 3 am, I was having a full blown panic attack. Hyperventilating and crying in an emergency room, at an ungodly hour, because of spontaneous panic attacks... Or so I thought! Eventually, Dr. Park ran out of ways to treat the panic attacks. She told me that she would begin to taper me off of Geodon, because she knew that Geodon could cause panic attacks... I only continued to see her so I could be tapered off of Geodon in a safe and controlled way. By February 2023, I began to look into alternative methods to treat my mental health. She doubled down and suggested Spravato, which my insurance didn't cover. She suggested I pay out of pocket for the ketamine infusion treatments... On my tiny barista salary, that wasn't a possibility. So she prescribed me 2 more anti-depressants, on top of the one I was already taking. At which point, I decided to stop seeing her since I was off the Geodon already and decided to risk not taking Propranolol and the one anti-depressant she prescribed, and that I had been taking. I no longer felt safe with my health and mental health in the hands of Dr. Park. 2 years lost to panic attacks that she could have stopped. I'm okay now. No more panic attacks, no meds.
Dr Park is a caring professional, sensitive to my needs. Willing to work with me on my needs and concerns of treatment. I've seen lots of progress in the year plus that I've been under her care. It's been a positive experience. Would highly recommend. Her office is a calming tranquil space.
I had an awful experience with this place and was shocked at how rude intake was back in Feb. I even wrote an email and followed up to my email but never heard back. Posting this here because elevate popped back up and I was shocked at the reviews and feel sorry for anyone who gets bullied around their mental health treatment. I’m not one to review but this was unacceptable. Email Contents: I am starting to feel very uncomfortable after a very rude call I received from the front desk yesterday. I was called midday and asked to attend an appointment for today at 10am, which I could not make. That's a turnaround of less than 24 hours and I couldn't make that time, I asked for other availability repeatedly, and was told that is the only availability Dr. Park has. The conversation was very pushy and rude and I was at work. I repeated myself numerous times and was pressured to take a time I was unable to make as Dr. Park asked if I could see her in one week. This would only be my second appointment - a continuation of an intake. It was not an emergency. After the call I was texted and called 3 times yesterday and texted. I responded to the text message saying that I felt unsure if I would move forward given how rude the interaction was and I will let you know if I choose to move forward. Today I have been called 6 times, left 2 voicemails, texted and emailed. I am not sure what's going on and I have made it clear that I would let you know if I would like to move forward. Repeated calls pushing me to make an appointment feels inappropriate coming from a doctors office, especially one that is offering a treatment like spravato. This is a medical office for mental wellness. As someone with severe anxiety, I have found this excessive outreach to be extremely anxiety inducing, inappropriate, boundaryless, and certainly not trauma-informed. I would have liked to work with Dr. Park, given these interactions with staff, I feel uncomfortable…I would like my email to be directed to Dr. Park directly, and would appreciate the opportunity to speak with her directly.
Honestly I’m not sure why this place has good reviews. I had a terrible experience with the office and its disorganization. The psychiatrists were fine and have nothing to do with it. The office did not listen to me and continued to prompt me to do things I told them I was not comfortable with and or told them I had already completed (forms). I called multiple times to talk over the phone instead of emailing - no answer. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Find somewhere else!
