List of Eric Gibbs, Dds's Reviews
Stay away from Dr Eric Gibbs- Orthodontist in NYC My wife, daughter and I all had a horrific experience with Dr. Gibbs. Although Dr. Gibbs was significantly higher priced than most other orthodontists in the tri-state area, we chose him based on mainly good online reviews. When we first met with Dr. Gibbs, he explained the process and also explained the expectation for my daughter's teeth and smile. Prior to removing my daughter's braces, we asked a bunch of questions and wanted to make sure that she was indeed ready to have them removed. Dr. Gibbs told us that she was ready.Upon removal, my daughter was left with a glaring flare that was so bad that she didn't want to smile. We told Dr. Gibbs that we wished to speak to him and we shared our extreme disappointment with him in a professional manner. We were taken back by his compete lack of concern and dismissed my daughter's extreme flare as part of her natural bone structure. He subsequently failed to provide services that we had pre-paid for such as a post-braces retainer

It was so bad that my wife and I were in complete shock, along with other family members and friends. We told Dr. Gibbs that we wished to speak to him and we shared our extreme concern and disappointment with him in a professional manner. We were taken back by his compete lack of concern and dismissed my daughter's extreme flare as part of her natural bone structure - completely contradicting what he had told us in the past. In summary, Dr Gibbs refused to assist in any way forward. When my wife and I mentioned that we would like to work this out without the need to involve a lawyer, Dr. Gibbs stopped talking to us and had his insurance company send us a letter. We had paid him in full for all of his services which included a retainer after the braces were taken off. He not only refused to honor what we pre-paid for (we did not get the retainer), but when we called his office about subsequent pain that my daughter was having, he again refused to talk to us. In talking to a few other families that have used Dr. Gibbs, we have found that we are not alone in having a terrible experience with this orthodontist. We have subsequently found another orthodontist in NYC who could not believe what Dr. Gibbs did to our daughter. The phrase "possible medical malpractice" was used and thankfully we had her braces completely redone, but not before having to spend close to another $10,000 to rectify sloppy work with no regard for a young girl who had to go through a very long and traumatic process. This post is not to be vengeful, but instead to hopefully warn others so they too do not have to waist time, money and stress with an orthodontist that just doesn't care. Feel free to reach out to me should anyone have any questions - we would he happy to share the pre and post braces pictures. It is quite shocking. 908-331-2102.

Always a pleasant experience! I had a wonderful experience at Gibbs Orthodontic Associates. The front desk was friendly and efficient. Dr. Gibbs was thorough, explaining everything clearly and ensuring my comfort throughout the visit. The office was also clean and well-equipped. Highly recommend!
Gibbs Orthodontic Associates is awesome! Friendly staff, caring and always helpful. All the orthodontist take the time to listen to your needs or your child's needs. They come up with a plan and work with you to get the care your child needs for a beautiful healthy smile. I had one daughter already have braces, my second has braces now and my third child needs them as well. I would recommend them to anyone who needs braces.
Dr. Eric Gibbs and the team are incredible! The results are amazing. The process was seamless with professionalism and dedication at each step along the way. The confidence I have when I look in the mirror was well worth the time and money that went into the process.
Highly recommend this office! I have been receiving dental care from Gibbs Orthodontic Associates, P.C: Invisalign, Braces and Dentofacial Orthopedics since I moved to the NYC area this year. I am very happy with the quality and expertise of the dentists and staff, and especially happy with the supportive and encouraging attitudes. Dental work is always a bit stressful for me, and I really appreciate how sensitive the staff is to all of my concerns, and especially how careful they are to track whether or not I am experiencing any pain at all. I highly recommend Dr. Eric Gibbs!
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Dr. Eric Gibbs for a dental procedure. From the moment I walked into his clinic, I felt welcomed and at ease. This office has done everything I asked.
THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart! I can’t say enough positive things about the entire team Gibbs Orthodontic Associates, especially Dr. Gibbs. I have a child with sensory issues and other challenges. Dr. Gibbs is truly a blessing and has been fantastic to work with. He has hired fantastic people to work with him, and every single person has been kind, patient, and caring.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
