I am very thankful for choosing Dr. Bitan for my recent cervical disc replacement surgery. I was suffering from severe pain on my neck and numbness on my arm and fingers for over 6 months. I tried acupuncture, acupressure, chiropractor, physical therapy, decompression treatments and took pain medicine for months. I even had multiple epidural injections and none of them helped. Finally a co-worker referred me to see Dr. Bitan for a consultation. Dr. Bitan spent almost two hours on my first consultation to review my MRI/X-Ray, discussed my options, answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns. Dr. Bitan made both me and my wife feel so comfortable and confident that I made my decision on the spot to have the surgery done. My experience with Dr. Bitan, his team in the operating room and his staff in his office are absolutely the best I have ever had. Dawn and Kevin from his office are always in contact with me from before to after the surgery. Dawn is so caring that she walked me through the entire process in detail and she checks-up on me with calls and texts often before and after my surgery. I had my surgery on 4/21/21 and I am now pain free, no more numbness and I am able to do the things I used to love doing. Dr. Bitan gave my quality of life back and I am forever thankful for that. I will not hesitate to recommend Dr. Bitan to anyone I know that needs the help.

Please consider this review my utmost and profound admiration, appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Fabien Bitan. He literally saved my wife's life. For over 4 years Cindy has suffered severe lumbar spinal and leg pain as a consequence of a chemotherapy reaction that damaged her spine. Everything had failed her, she was starting to give up. As a physician myself, I had sought out the best care I could find, however, after many surgeries and interventional procedures, everything I had found had failed her, the pain was becoming uncontrollable. She could not sit down without severe burning and unrelieved pain. Medications were of little use. Both of us were becoming despaired. An amazing blessing occurred when I thought of an old collogue and friend, Dr. Sudir Diwan (an renown interventional spine specialist in Manhattan). I confided to him that we were losing hope. He immediately called Dr. Bitan, and this one phone call changed our lives forever. Dr. Bitan accepted her case, and despite the CoVid restrictions of New York, assisted our travel to Manhattan. He identified a surgical solution unseen by others. Cindy went on the NY, but my flight was delayed, as she had gone on ahead of me. Cindy was to be at the hospital 5 AM. Unexpectedly, Dr. Bitan's wife, Dawn, generously met Cindy at the Lennox Hill Hospital early that morning, just so she would not be alone! When I finally got to the hospital later in the day, Cindy's surgery had been more complicated than anticipated as Dr. Bitan had found an unusual calcification attached to part of the sciatic nerve resulting in hours of microdissection and fusion. He undertook an artistic repair that I am convinced no one else on earth would have done or achieved- just because he cared, and that is just who he is. Cindy's recovery has been remarkable. After 4 years of suffering, her pain was gone! It has been now 8 months since her surgery, and my wonderful wife Cindy is back to her athletic vibrant self, totally pain free. We remain forever grateful to this wonderful, gifted, and talented kind man- as well as grateful to his lovely wife Dawn being there for Cindy, and Dr. Diwan for that fateful phone call.

We live two hours away from Dr. Bitan's office. A number of years ago, when my husband had unsuccessful spine surgery with a local doctor, we turned to Dr. Bitan, upon recommendation. The main complain wason the right side. Dr. Bitan was thorough, personable, and performed a completely successful spine surgery. My husband was able to recover, and be pain-free for years. A few months ago, my now-82 year old husband started to suffer from the left sciatica side. I did not hesitate, made an appointment to take him to Dr. Bitan. The doctor was as professional, as thorough, as personable as ever. He truly cares about his patients and takes the time to explain, demonstrate, and even reassure us. I recommend him, as well as his first-rate staff.

I was in a bad car accident in 2019 and immediately experienced neck and back issues. After countless MRIs, injections for pain, physical therapy, and chiropractor treatment, I was finally approved by my insurance company for a C5-C6 Anterior Cervical disc replacement. I consulted with 5 different spine surgeons and ultimately decided to go with Dr. Bitan and Dr. Kadimcherla at Atlantic Spine Center based on their expertise, experience, and professionalism. None of the other surgeons even compared. Paola, their Surgical Advocate, stayed in constant communication leading up to the surgery and afterwards. She was prompt responding to any questions I had, dealing with the insurance company, and was an integral part of the process. I had the surgery on 5/18 and couldn't be happier. My only complaint is that I wish I could have done it sooner! Dr. Bitan and Dr. K at Atlantic Spine Center are highly recommended.

Dr. Bitan completed a spinal fusion surgery on me after the first one failed. Prior to going to Dr. Bitan, I was using a wheelchair and a walker to get around. After my revision surgery, my pain became increasingly less. I went from using a wheelchair and walker to a cane which lasted for several months after the surgery. At this point in time, I am able to walk on my own without any assistance and I am back doing the things that I love. I am also going to go back to work after being out for a year. Thanks to Dr. Bitan I was able to get my life back. I highly recommended him to anyone with bad back issues. He is a very kind and caring to his patients and makes you feel that you are important and that you ate not just another number like some of the other doctors that I have seen. He truly is a great doctor who had a lot of experience. I highly recommend him to anyone who suffers from back issues that other doctors say that they can’t be fixed.

Dr Praveen Kadimcherla and Dr. Fabien Bitan of Atlantic Spine Center are excellent doctors. A year ago, I had a car accident that affected many of my lumbar and cervical discs. Before being seen by these two doctors, I was constantly in pain and couldn’t sleep. I had exceeded lumber and cervical treatments, including injections. Nothing worked. On June 1 (three weeks ago), Dr. Kadimcherla and Dr. Bitan performed a 3-level cervical fusion surgery. Three weeks later, I can say that I noticed a big difference. After a year of not comfortably sleeping, now I can sleep better. I still have minor pain, but I understand that, with time and therapy, it will improve. As I told Dr. Kadimcherla for my two weeks follow up, “You brought my life back.” The scar is beautifully healing. I strongly recommend these two doctors to anyone suffering from back pain. I am a happy patient.

Dr Bitan performed surgery on my daughter in 2012. He was recommended by a number of people I know. He is NOT knife happy! He is very caring and knowledgeable and makes you feel as if you are his only patient and family of the patient. I have and will continue to recommend him any chance I get.

Gave me artificial discs instead of fusion! He is caring, patient and available. My surgery was a year ago (July 2018) and I have zero regrets.

Dr. Bitan has had made such a positive impact on my quality of life. He put me back together again after a failed cervical fusion by a different doctor and has successfully performed surgeries on my lower lumbar --problems most likely caused by scoliosis. He is a knowledgeable, caring and kind person.
