Dr. Michelassi is kind, compassionate, soft spoken, and clear. He is thorough, reviews all necessary data, answers any and all questions and then gives his opinion as to what he feels needs to be done to put "Humpty Dumpty" back together and living a healthy, full life once again. The best!

Dr. Michelassi is compassionate, caring and unbelievably talented. He performed my daughter’s surgery laparoscopically when other surgeons said it couldn’t be done. We went home after two days, when other doctors in other hospitals said we’d be inpatient at least 5 days. Dr. Michelassi’s entire team is wonderful. I am in constant contact with his nurse pretty much every day giving her updates about my daughter’s progress. She checks in with us a few times a week. I couldn’t be happier with out decision to go with Dr. Michelassi and NYP hospital.

My visit hit all the high notes. The doctor and his team were there for me ON TIME, and it seemed that TIME was not an issue in how long we had to discuss a surgical procedure. Dr. Michelassi was clear, often asked me and my partner if we had any questions; He always made eye contact, and when we were finished, he let us have more time with the Nurse Administrator and Physician's Asst. who also had no issue with time, were patient and clear in all their explanations.

Dr Michelassi is just top-notch. He listened carefully and thoughtfully probed as I detailed my current condition. He walked me through the test results, allowing me time to absorb and question along the way. He explained my surgical and non-invasive options to me in granular detail. Together we developed a forward plan - one with which I am very satisfied. Truly supportive and caring doctor but thoroughly professional and just of the highest professionalism. Which is why I am a returning customer after he helped preserve much of my small intestine some 12 years ago.
